Honestly, I can't describe the emotions I feel whenever I listen to this song. There's just so much and it's incomprehensible to tell what specifically they are. It's just so damn beautiful and I can't ever put it to words whenever I "feel it". I guess this is what happens when you listen to Queen :)
I went to this concert and I remembered I cried singing with everybody at Seibu Baseball Park in Tokorozawa. But I forgot this song till recently. After the Earthquake last year, I came to understand the meaning of this lylics and came to listen again. Now I am crying in a different mode. I feel Freddie is watacing all of us from the heaven. mick k Tokyo,Japan
@sirotahaggen Unfortunately, so many of Queen's greatest treasures are just that, unacknowledged gems. Unlike other bands, whose stuff was played ad nauseam, Queen had to struggle to get airplay for their beauties. So sad! :(

@juanlozanoism yes. How about you? Have heard we put Japanese and Japanese Americans in internment camps? In war nothing goes by the books. We as country are not prefect nor is any country after countries are run by people and people are not infallible. Yes it sad that Japanese student don't learn much about WWII.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@juanlozanoism actually it was about 780000 people and second, if your trying to justify the earthquake through this, just remember these two facts: 1. The Japanese government had a huge change into freedom and democracy after the war 2. People are dying due the earthquake and it seems that you just don't care about them and make those people seem like they're bad people and that it's a "just revenge"3. All your doing is just piling one bad historical event upon another
@philniceguy he voice was in bad shape here. It's a shame they didn't play it on a leg of a tour where Freddie's voice was in good shape. I think they only played it in Japan and well 1979 was probably Freddie's worst vocal tour his voice was tired and he was cracking all over the place and well here you can here him struggling alittle. @rekoonsghjkl: Hmmm - I think that's a little harsh - Freddie's were vocals were top notch throughout the 80s - in particular the vocals (some very challenging on): Hammer to Fall, It's a Hard Life, One Vision, Who Wants to Live Forever, I Want It All, Was it All Worth It - even on tracks from the Innuendo album, such as Innuendo itself, The Show Must Go On and These are the Days of Our Lives - all stunning vocals - and the Magic Tour produced some of the finest Queen live performances.
@MartynT1974 I know he hit high notes on the works and magic tours even his higest live D6 in Japan. It's just the smoking made his voice husky which was y he smoked but his voice didn't stay in good shape like it did in the earlier years. 1979-1982 were some of his bet live vocals.
@rekoonsghjkl his best performances are the ones from 74 at the rainbow 75 hammersmith and 77 earls, when he truly showd his voice over a wide range of song genre from the ballads such as white queen, lap of the gods songs like killer queen thru to the trash/heavy metal songs such as ogre battle son and daughter and liar. his voice was very young had that freshness to it could sing very delicately and then beable to hit it hard and powerful being able to sing it not shout it lik 85 works tour
@MartynT1974 compard to any othr singer freddies vocals esp today are top notch, noone could ever reach his benchmark live but comparing his vocals thruout his lfe, I have to agree with rekoon, the miracle and innuendo, smoking wasnt helpin his health much with aids so as a result he all but quit resultin in bein able to sing falsetto tht made him famous for in the 70s in those albums but after 82 his voice really started to decline magice tour being good as he had big break frm the works tour
@MartynT1974 but seriously his best performances are the ones from 74 at the rainbow 75 hammersmith and 77 earls, when he truly showd his voice over a wide range of song genre from the ballads such as white queen, lap of the gods songs like killer queen thru to the trash/heavy metal songs such as ogre battle son and daughter and liar. his voice was very young had that freshness to it could sing very delicately and then beable to hit it hard and powerful being able to sing it not shout it lik 85
Love it shame this was where Freddie's voice began to not be as good. The smoking took a bigger effect on the works tour and magic although his voice was still good it just wasn't as good live as 1979-1982.
No, the smoking didn't start messing with his voice until 1983/4. What you hear on the American and Japan legs of this tour is simply vocal fatigue from overtouring.
Come, x esempio, dare vita a canzoni come teo torriatte!
Grazie e a risentirci

Freddie's voice sounds a little stressed in some parts, but still amazing!

@elgato968 hear "Las palabras del amor" if you want to heard him singing in Spanish or "mustapha" if you want to hear Arabic =p

Just a poem who delight you and make you dream... You cannot resist!
I completely melt everytime I hear Freddie sing "When I'm gone they'll say we're all fools and we won't understand.."
I imagine this song sung under the moonlight...
Oh I begin to wonder too much XD

Was there anything Freddie couldn't do, even sing believably in Japanese? Queen forever.
