  • might as well buy a coloring book . . .

  • very pretty and creative! love your style!

  • are you kidding me, i appreciate the painting and this artists style. Each person has their own likes and dislikes, thats what makes art great. also,,,the neck comment? come on, a neck like that is sexy and beautiful,,,again, too each his own....I think this chick is one of the "few" good looking woman artists out there in the world of art. take care.

  • Warm colors first, then cool colors. This will help me with my painting. Thanks for sharing your video.

  • i like your dog!

  • it really wasnt that good,

i can do better than that and im 14..

  • You have the longest neck I've seen in my life

    Good luck

  • Hey, you!!!

Ever herd about pen and ink with watercolor wash?

This is the type of painting.

Instead of critique someone else work go and learn something about the subject you putting your opinion about.

For those who doesn't have satisfying view of they backyard got goodle images.

GeronimoMaui - thanks for your video.

I have learned about cool and warm washes, that would make my painting decision easier and for that I'm grateful.

    Keep posting new videos.

    Good luck.

  • nice video! thanks!

  • Not exactly my style. Sketch marks should disappear on a finished piece. I think the bold lines make it look like a paint-by-numbers painting. And, those colors did not mix well at all.

  • lol i was expecting this huge piece of paper. hahahahaha

  • um...this is terrible.

  • Sloppy garbage painter! Ever heard of a wash? How about stretching the paper and using tube color? Garbage in and garbage out. This is NOT WATERCOLOR but a messed-up version of "I don't have the patience to create anything special" styled poo. She seems stuck on "beautiful view" doesn't she?

  • Oh mercy! Most people could do better with a spray can onto the side of a train car!

  • You gotta water that bananna tree! It's shredding from being so dried out! Live large!

  • uhhh .. 0_o

  • nice and smooth

  • this was a real good video and thanks for the tip concerning the 300lb paper

  • @fra27081974 ummmm ok...

  • Excellent. Thanks so much.

  • Thank you very much for this video- very helpful C:

  • I know that alot of other people can use the whole "not painting in the lines" thing and make it look really beautiful, but just because it's not in the lines doesn't mean you should just throw the watercolor on the paper. If she took some time to actually think about where it would make sense to do that it would have made her piece alot stronger. It would have been nice if she added more shadows and highlights too to make it more interesting.

  • I especially liked your lines, nice job!

  • please make some video series on water color painting lessons

  • Love your style.

  • Oh my- I wish that were MY backyard.

  • I have opened a online gallary. please visit my channal for web addresses and videos. love Bonnie

  • @eliichocolate Lots of people dislike all watercolor because it lacks the detail of other types of painting. To like this you have to appreciate watercolor or enjoy actually doing watercolor. I like this.

  • @eliichocolate lol I concur! it's soooooo rubbish

  • I love it! Thanks for sharing. Great tips.

  • I've started using a "PITT" artist pen from Faber-Castell. It's a very fine tip pen with waterproof brown India ink, and the advantage is that the skinny non-black lines tend to vanish in the final art piece. They still work well laying out sketches and even more precise art.

  • Nice painting! Thanks for the tutorial.

  • "go out into your yard and find something interesting" ...well it certainly doesnt look like that.. i live in the desert :(

  • Then draw a desert scene.

    Hurr.

  • should be easy to paint....lol

  • @ilyellbell Some of the most beautiful watercolor paintings I've seen were desert paintings. Like cactus'

  • @ilyellbell Deserts are the inspiration for many artists~ :)

  • @ilyellbell desert surely is also interesting.... :S lights and shadows make all interesting

  • do you have to use a sharpie?

  • Just something waterproof, I think she said.

  • I really like your tutorial how to paint with watercolor and it is a beautiful painting.

  • Nice demonstration.

  • The basis weight of the paper is a measure of its density and thickness. It is described as the gram weight of one square meter of a single sheet of the paper, or grams PER SQUARE METER (gsm). Most watercolor papers sold today are in the range between 280gsm to 640gsm. (The previous Imperial system, expressed as the weight in pounds of one ream or 500 SHEETS OF THE PAPER, regardless of its size, obsolete in some areas, is still used in the United States.) -Wikipedia

  • How do you carry 300lb paper?!!!!! Do have to do weight training?

    Do you mean 300gsm or140lb?

  • what is the price of 300lb paper...?

  • mam,for you what is the cheapest type of paper in doing water color and the best for it..thankyou

  • WOW this is amazing!

i am drawing on a canvas and have already done the sketch outline, if i outlined my sketch with black marker and painted over it with the water colours like you have would anything go wrong with the outlined black marker on the canvas?

  • This is a great question. A Sharpie black marker is permanent so I believe any surface you use it on it will not smudge. So check your marker to make sure it is permanent. However, watercolor on canvas does not sound like the best use of either material. I recommend 300lb. watercolor paper. If you want to use canvas try acrylic paint. Although I have never tried it my guess is permanent marker and acrylic paint is a great combination on canvas. Good luck and Keep Painting!

  • thank you i am learning!

  • nice painting
