Once upon a time, I played this on DSI. I went on easy mode. Had booster 0.8, machine gun, never even noticed the damn tow rope and never got nemesis or a better weapon... Then I killed undead core.

Later, I set out on normal mode to do all the things I missed.
I can do the first two bosses without getting hit, and I normally get hit a couple times on the third guy, but the final one is the one I have trouble on. I nearly beat him a while ago and the stupid Vista decided to do an update when he had about 1/8 of his health... Kicked a hole in my wall and am now on a short break from that game.
In the Labyrinth, you can get the regular Booster pack by talking to Prof. Booster. If you DON'T get the Booster in the Labyrinth (by ignoring Prof. when you see him fall), you will get the Booster V2 later in the game.
Also, you can't save Curly if you have the regular Booster.
Lol, I can't believe that your saying that it's hard not to get hit by misery, no offense, but almost every time I fight her I can get through without being hit. Also, why don't you like the spur? It doesn't need experience, and its normal shot is a lvl 3 polar star shot, so if you don't like charging, it doesn't matter.
Not getting hit by Misery is a challenge, but you're right: it's not super hard.
As for the Spur, charging that thing up can be a PAIN IN THE A** sometimes. This is really only the case in heated battles and I will not go into it. Normal shot is a LVL 3 Polar Star shot you say? That's still only 4 dmg/shot and half the range of the Machine Gun.
In conclusion, I'm a Machine Gun kinda guy. I just can't wield a Spur.
It f***ing sucks that you have to fight human Misery all over again when you die anywhere during any of the last bosses, even when you die at the Undead Core!
Personally, I don't think Misery is that hard for the last battle. She can't do much other than summon monsters that drop health and weapon expierence which is a good thing. And, I never thought about using the Missle Launcher on the Doctor. It seems to work well. :)
Just completed cave story about 30 minutes ago then came online to see what others thought of it and found your video with the last bosses. For the undead core battle I left misery and sue and basically dodged their attacks as I unleashed on the core. I had a re-health bottle that I'd picked up sometime previously and used it part way through the battle. Your method looks long and painful but no rehealthing is a intense effort. You video doesn't work from 6:59-9:11unfortunately.
*after looking for the problem* Well, crap! I know how to fix the problem, but that requires un-compressing an ENORMOUS video file, which my computor can barely do. This will take a while!
It is true that I went ONLY Hell Spur. Only he did not need to "improve" it (except missiles).

Spur is more powerful than Machin Gun, but it looks worse (I went to this game Machine Gun and Spur. Snake could not).

Those guys are (relatively) easy, but seeing as I'm trying to get the best ending I need to
A: Not use ANY missiles
B. Make sure I don't take too much damage.
C. Get through the Sacred Ground (Hell)
D. Defeat two minibosses
E. Get all of the missiles possible (54)
F. Defeat ALL FIVE FORMS of Ballos.
God damn!

For best ending, you just need to beat Ballos.
Feel free to use some missiles; there are plenty of enemy drops in Sacred Grounds to refill you.
As for the damage, you get full health after you beat the undead core, so don't worry.
And Ballos has only 4 forms (3rd and 4th share the same health bar)

"Faster" and "Stronger" are vague terms. Here is everything you could mean by that:
Shot speed is virtually the same, if not the same
Damage Per Bullet is well established. Spur laser is strongest, then MG, then Spur bullet
Damage Per Second is a pretty close match, except with uncharged shots: much lower dps than MG

Yeah the last three bosses are kinda easy. But some crazy badass people can even beat the whole with 3HP and Polar star.

You have to A: save Curly Brace and B: Have the Booster V2. Spur and Counter are optional.
