You can solve this by putting a very thin piece of paper underneath the corners of the keyboard if you open it up, which is easy. It solves the annoying "metal on metal" sound i sometimes used to get.
Oh there is one thing I do NOT like: the line-in/out should not(/never) be in the front, but oh well, I got a docking station, so now it's not an issue anymore :)
Lenovo is killing the thinkpad softly in favor of a more mainstream ideapad. Sad b/c the lengendary thinkpad is fantastic. This flex and shoddy workmanship seems to be in the T and W series but I haven't seen it in the X series. Damn shame!

I just bought a W500 a week ago and the keyboard is rock-solid. I love it and wouldn't want to trade it in.
