  • It's not worth rev higher 9k rpms, cause at 10k or more you loose torque, which is very important at hingh speeds.

  • @NaYru1337 the SR16VE exists on the Nissan Pulsar VZ-R(N15), Nissan LucinoVZ-R(B14), and Nissan Sunny VZ-R(B15). This engine was only produced and Sold In Japan. The same applies to the SR16VE N1, but this engine was a limited edition, and only exists 500 of those engines. I'm from Portugal, and I would love to have a NEO VVL Engine(SR16VE or SR20VE).

  • @bp1800 haha, the N1 wngine is the worlds fastest 1.6 prodduction engine. An integra Type r cant keep up. V tech is shite, its the worlds worst from of variable valve control. And dont get me started on all this "economy" vtec shite. Hondas target market is 50+

  • @p10gt My First Civic was an EG VTi Uk spec, the head gasket went. My second was an Uk spec EK 1.8vti after a few thousand miles the Vtec solonoid require replacing before honda siad it should be despite me taking good care of it. i then move on to an SIR ek which ended with another faulty vtec system. I learnt how shite hondas are first hand through owning three of them

  • @Aliasify Dont forget previous owners of Hondas... its very important from who you buy a car like that. A lot of young, stupid owners beat the hell out of them withou any maintance and service.

  • @p10gt I couldnt be 100% sure of how my first civic was treated by the previous owners. But my Second had wanted for nothing, full Hinda service history, and i imported my SIR to the UK and while i couldnt be 100% how it was treated in japan i had it checked and maintained properly. I drive a vuxhall now which by genarel opinion should be more unreliable then any honda but it isnt

  • I don't think this engine will last very long if you keep raping it from cold....

  • I own this engine for 2 years and nothing ever happened to it. Cold start is an ecu phase. Engine was warmed during the runs.

  • i got a 1997 n15 automatic sedan, stock, and Oh God it flies! I mean i'm a pretty big guy, pretty heavy and with me in it i flog V8s! I'm thinking of getting my ecu remapped, swapping the diff to make it rear wheel drive, put in an intercooler, exhaust system, getting bridgestone potenza RE55s; 185/65/R14, new suspension and brakes! that way down here where i come from, the car would still be classified as street legal but would annhiliate competition. what do you guys think?

  • Well certainly remap and short gear transmission helps a lot. Try seeking some info on your local Pulsar Group Australia forums.

  • It's using a chipped ecu. Yes I'm sure this engine is safe to rev that high.

    I've spent a lot on dynos to measure everything out.

  • Holy shit! This car do 10 000rpm. It´s amazing. But acceleration is not so good. On 2nd gear u can do 120Kmph.. nice.

  • A 2lt engine would be more powerful...

    Better swap with a 2lt one but you could also build a powerful sr20de with cams and pistons.

    There was one SR16VE.N1 for sale on nissanz forums. Prices differ around the globe. Check sale sections on local and NZ forums.

    You can't mess with a fully electronic instrument cluster. All you could do is design a custom gauge face.

    I'm planning to place another cluster but that's not an easy task on this car.

  • Something is definitely off with your setup not sure what but this car should be alot faster even stock.. Not talking shit or anything but my ka24de altima 5 speed with just intake/header has more balls then this. Do you know how much your car weighs that could be why im used to seeing VE's in tiny Ser sentras that dont weigh much.

  • It should be more/less 2730lbs full interior, audio system, suspension bars. It's a street not a race car. There is also a video description and a video response on this video... Videos were made for fun not on the best street conditions and engine was quite stressed.

    struggling to go on 200kph all way up..sad..it should be easy to catch 240kph to 280khp...

  • Tuning is still in development phase. Watch 2nd ride and Defi monitoring videos and you will understand. Top speed was never tested on a dyno so that my cluster accuracy with this engine. It needs a thicker radiator...

  • what tranny are u using? this aint a sr16ve tranny and not the b13 se-r tranny also,your gear ratio is too long,u need a short gear ratio,u know what im talkin bout,it takes time to get there..sad but its true..

    this gear ratios will be fine for 2.0 but for 1.6 its not ideal..or maybe you still need to work on that tuning,its really lookslike the motor having hard time to reach high rpm but it can get there,just weak..

I think engine is getting hotter than it should be and I get low oil pressures on that temperature. 60psi on 100Celcius water temp ain't good... I'll have to check on open road but that's in town trips. Tuning process will of course be continued.

  • You could try gspec or sr-20forum and sr20forum. Put com at the end. It' will cost you a lot... Search at sale section or make a post on the wanted to buy one.

Σε αυτό το video τα points είναι τα stock του VersionI 6300 intake και 6550 exhaust για να είμαστε απόλυτα ακριβείς. Στο επόμενο που θα ανέβει θα είναι αλλαγμένα... Δεν μπορώ να πω ότι έχουμε ολοκληρώσει αλλά είμαστε πολύ κοντά. Έβγαλε σχεδόν την εργοστασιακή του δύναμη το Σεπτέμβρη αλλά μέχρι τώρα πολλά έχουν αλλάξει και ελπίζω σε κάτι καλύτερο.
