  • Is it possible to remove the front sight on the socom gear r700? if so, how?

  • @AirsoftFor3ver its just glued on. simply pry it off.

  • @ASTKilo23 thanks man! keep up the great videos!

  • I just made this for my JG BAR-10 from similar parts. Works very well. My tube was abit smaller though.

  • It doesnt really suppress... You should look into the setup in the TM GSpec. They have a diferent setup. They use inner cones to push the sound into the foam rings. Works much better.

  • @Aussietuga believe it or not, it does. just doesnt pick up well on the camera.

  • im still kinda confused... could u give me a link to the drum cymbal foam u use?

  • @HithardAirsoft no link. just go to a local music shop.

  • what was the part on the exit end of the silencer? You had like a cape or something on the end- what did you use for that?

  • sounds exactly the same with and without the supressor

  • It was really hard to follow, do you think you could just make a video on exactly how you did it plz

  • Sounds the same? Does it really work?

  • @2JJD2 in fact, it does. the camera i used during this video did not pick up the sounds very will. i will try to refilm this video soon with my newer camera and mike.

  • please do a review about the cat :D

  • Awesome Video! i have a mk96 and was trying to make a nice diy suppressor.

  • your probly gettin tired of people askin questions about this but could you possibly post a video of you shooting it with and without the supressor, but only have the camera out a ways, pointed at you.(it seems like in this video the camera mic is picking up the sound of the gun itself(click of the trigger and spring sound) more so than the actual sound coming from the barrel. if you can do that i could put the sound in comparable waveform so you could show people the difference . thanks

  • @richslayerbc08 oh wait...i really...REALLY need to finish watching videos before i write comments about my ideas hahaha...ill have that waveform thing done for ya soon.

  • hey what size pipe did you use 1inch or 1.5 inch because i am making one but i am going to use spray foam...could you tell me please.

  • @AirsoftWarrior296 u used a 2 inch pvc pipe.

  • awesome cat whats wrong with its tail

  • can you go into detail with the drum symbol foam, carboard ext I didnt get that part.

  • @1H1TSN1P3R so basically, you have two sections of the suppressor: the ssynbol felt segment and the plumbing foam segment. the plumbing foam is only there to fit around the barrel so the suppressor doesnt move. the symbol felt sits in the rest of the tube to dampen each shot. i used a paper towl role as a casing for the felt to make it easier to install.

  • @ASTKilo23 oo thaNKS FOR REPLYING i look foward to making it

  • @ASTKilo23 is it more by ear than by mike? i didn't really haer much difference.

  • When we get the drum symbol foam should we hot glue them to the inside of the carboard roll, and then hot glue the carboard roll to the inside of the suppressor? Also, about how many foam rings should we buy?

  • How long was the PVC pipe you used?

  • @mdrrdm426 the pipe was originially 6 feet long. we cut it down to about 16 inches.

  • what is and where is a kinelekey? ',:L

  • @kevin71127 kennelly keys is a music store located on the west coast of the US. any music store should carry drum set felt.

  • nice cat :p

  • how come the sound of you pulling the bolt was the same from 50 ft away?? was the mic by you or something

  • haha spelt suppressor wrong:)

  • lol its louder

  • yah i believe that it did surpress it... the camera doesnt do it justice

  • i have a kjw m700. what diameter do you think i should use for the pvc pipe?

And im not really looking for suppresing sound. more for looks. could i just use the pvc pipe, insulator, and the end cap and still have it fit

  • its more quiet when u have a gas gun. i think most of the sound is generated by the piston or something internally on spring so too bad go! gas! hpa

  • it kinda sounds the same =P

  • sounds the same to me :S

  • u shuld be sponserd by lows ha ha ha ha

  • You, sir, are a genious.

  • Your silencer is great. I made one just like it, but instead used green scourge pads (the same stuff on the back of some sponges). It find that its helps a lot, but my friends don't understand that it is only supposed to remove the high pitched frequencies of the gun firing, which makes it much harder to locate in a forest area (But its not designed to stop people from hearing it).

    Nice job though!

  • what is the diameter of the pvc pipe??

  • i used a 2 inch pipe.

  • If you could make a really quick vid of actually making it that would help a lot. Its kinda hard to tell what you did with the cymbal foam and cardboard tubes

  • If you go to guitar center or something for the "drum cymbal foam" and you ask them for it (it was behind the counter at my local one) say "drum cymbal felts". You will look like an idiot if you say "drum cymbal foam" because I have tons of it lying around and it is clearly not a "foam" substance.

  • i think i played with someone called kilo 23 on mwf2 last night. hmmm

  • Hey what is this for a bipod ?

do i need a rail or something for the bipod?

can i put there a harris style bipod on?

    thx

  • @JFreak85 a rail mounted bipod or hiarris style bipod can be attached, however, both have to be installed via custom modification because there is no rail or harris bipod adaptor.

  • any idea on how to use this silencer as a barrel extender?

  • @KrewArmyAirsoftCo this suppressor can work just like any other suppressor, covering up a barrel that protrudes from th outer barrel. the length is therefore up to you and how you make it.

  • Put it over your inner barrel.

  • does it reduce range on the gun?

  • @IxSHOTxYOU the range is complete uneffected.

  • Great vid. i went to my local hardware store and music store and got all the materials for under $20. it works amazingly. the only problem i had was the whole in the cymbal foam was too small so i am using a screwdriver to strech it out..

  • what size pipe insulation did u use because i used one inch and it doesn't fill the suppressor

  • i think i was about an inch and a half or so. not quite sure.

  • what i ended up doing was cutting stips of the insulator and making three bracing rings on the tube so it fits in realy snug

  • Idk what everyone's talking about because I can hear the difference. Btw another great vid...keep it up.

  • i know that you say it helps but i cant hear a single difference, it almost sounded slightly loucder...?

  • it really is much quieter with it on. its just the cameras inablilty to detect the cound difference. ill do some outdoor test of it soon.

  • is it possible to take a fake supprosser that stores sell and attach this supprosser to it or something like that just so I can get it solid with no wobble

  • if it weren't for Australian law i would try this -.-

  • i dont hear a difference. mabye i gotta be there to hear it but when ur in war u wont hear anything lol

  • is that the first one you made or did it take a few trys to get it where u liked it

  • ive made other less complex ones out of foam and card board roles, but that was the first of its complexity.

  • its still loud but not a loud noise that like uhh hard to explain a diffnt noise that is loud but makes it not loud,,,, hope that sum 1 reads this they under stand,, other ppl that dnt get his at all srry

  • thanks for the video, ive made a few myself.

  • theres no difference but still kick ass looking gun aganst sound kickass gun wins lol

  • does it ever fall off when u run or w.e?

or does it stay on there pretty tight

  • it actuallt stays on pretty tight. have never had it fall off.

  • ok thanx ima try to buy the parts tomorrow and try to get it done by the end of this weekend :)

    see how that turns out

  • is it the pipe insulation foam that stops the bbs from hitting the cymbol foam or is it somthing else?

  • =p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=p=pp=

  • mabe it the video camera but im not hearing any diffrence.Does it sound better when you actualy hear it up close.

  • the camera really does not do it justice.

  • My suppressor screws on to a counter threaded drilled bolt fixed to the end of the barrel. My friend made it for me and it adds about 7" to the barrel. Great vid, man. If any one plays airsoft in IL, I'm the CO of MERC6 and we train on 18 acres of woods and fields year round. Would like more people to work with in big events. We're mostly former military but we're not a MilSim. Gotta make it fun 4 the civies, too!

  • it sounds louder with the supressor

  • if i put a 150sp spring in my bar10 would i HAVE to upgrade the internals?

  • no, but your gun would brake in less than 300 rounds.

  • ok, so if i got a new spring guide and a reinforced piston it would be fine?

  • you would need those two items and a new piston sear and trigger sear. those cost about $20-$35 each.

  • one last thing, if i just decided for a 130sp spring temporarily i wouldn't need upgrades yet would i?

  • probably better that you do, but its not necissary.

  • what are cardboard rolls?

  • ...i cant believe i am actually answering this question: cardboard rolls are paper rolls inside of toylet paper rolls or paper towel rolls.

  • whats the thing on the end of the suppresor...and do u get cardboard rolls at lowes?

  • not saying its bad but i cant really hear the difference maybe it was the camera? but it looks really awesome :)

  • it is the camera. i was just shooting it yesterday and it makes a HUGE difference in the sound.

  • i will give it a shot then because i just got my wellfire g22 and i thot it would be quiet... but its pretty loud and gives away my position... so im guna make one outa a pvc pipe, my drum simble thum and some normal foam

  • Whats the other story besides Lowe's I cant understand your accent

  • you must be from another country, there is no accent. the other store, other than lowes, is kennelly keys. its one of the main music stores in the area.

  • No I'm from USA but in New Jersey I dont think there is such a store named that here lol!

  • well shoot. im pretty sure any music store will carry cymbol foam rings.

  • Ill go to this place in a place called Redbank they have stuff like that :P

  • great video, never seen anyone use acoustic fabric before.

do u have different chambers inside the supressor?

and u should pack the tissue paper tightly inside the outer barrel around the inner, thats stops the sound wave of the piston smacking the cylinder head and echoing down the barrel. and also get some rubber cylinder head dampers aswell. u can either make some urself or buy some laylax ones.

  • Most of your sound comes from your spring. Just get some soft rubber and glue it to the end of you spring and the cylinder head.

  • honestly i have nothing against u or your supressor but to me it sounds exactly the same

  • it does sound exactly the same in the video sadly, but in person there is a huge difference. my camera some times picks up too much sound.

  • can u explain better how you used the drum rings

  • the drum rings are situated inside of a toilet paper role to compress them into one unit to make it easier to intall. the unit then sits between the end cap (washers in this case) and the pipe foam actiing as a sound reduction device.

  • its a little quieter. ur camera has too good of sound. lol
