@jourdal Well I don't exactly do background checks on combo vidoes, I tend to assume if someone posts one they made it. But I apologize, I did not know you didn't make this. But I'm not sorry for everything else I said. Yes damage isn't everything..spacing relative to the corner and possible oki set ups should also be taken into account, but in this case they all ended in the corner and they all ended the same..it was all the same! Some just did more damage than others..that was it.

Yes, there should be different combos to fit the situation, depending on if you're going for an oki set up, or how far you are from the corner, or even what move you start the combo with..but most of the video only featured ONE SITUATION! A combo starting from 3c around about the middle of the stage..and they all ended in exactly the same way, with a crescent in the corner. There was no reason for that at all, it makes no sense.
@shadowslots meter gain, spacing when you hit with 3C, character specific combo, and how you want your distance to be when the combo ended. That's only the first half of the vid, where 3c is essential for Lambda.
You could say I'm making up all that shit, since you don't understand anyway.
@DSveno Well for combos starting with 3c,with one exception the most damaging combo gained the most meter..and that there was only a difference of 5 for that exception in terms of meter gain compared to the few hundred points in damage lossed.But I'll acknowledge that sometimes the 5 points might be worth it,however you could have easily taken out 90% of those combos.I mean look at any vids of pros and most will use the same corner and non-corner b&b's unless maybe they're fighting a Tager :P
@shadowslots as jourdal said, damage is not the only thing that matters. You also have to factor in heat gain, which varies from combo to combo, which then allows you to use your distortions. You also have to factor in the position that you start the combo from, being a little bit closer or a bit farther away can change which combo you can use. And you also need to factor in the ending position of both characters. For a zoning character like lambda, ending close to your opponent isnt wise
@shadowslots oh, and the fact that these combo videos help players see how the longest combos work, because believe it or not, it can be a real pain to pull off some combos so starting off smaller and working your way up is a good idea

When do people learn that Combo movies are to exploid the characters capabilities and not to learn something for real matches? what you can learn is how to use certain moves in part of combos that you might do in real matches but not everything is usefull
@SaibotPT Except that this one *is* aimed to give combos that one should use in matches; the aim here is clearly high damage and/or meter gain, and not style, like some other combo movies around.
I play Lambda, I'll be learning most of these combos, but one thing I noticed is that most of them start with a raw 3C, which will hardly ever happen. However it is really good to see that all of these combos do 4K+, which is great cause she did no damage in CS2 =P
@leonhart829 If she puts her opponent in block stun with sickle storm, then she gets a free 50/50 with either 3C or 4B/jB and it's incredibly hard to react to. Raw 3Cs can easily happen.
So basically... watch the fuck out for 3C these days. Does anyone know if you can still tag Calamity Sword to those 3C combos that are building 50+ heat?
@pieoverlord I'd imagine you can if you're execution is up to it. Don't forget that you can combo off of that super without RC as well so it's more than just an ender these days.
@RaveSage You've pretty much always been able to but the list of changes on Dustloop is pretty sparse for Lamb-chan. Being able to almost always replace j.214D with Calamity Sword has always been a Good Thing (tm) so I wondered if they nerfed it. Haven't heard of any min. damage changes either.

CS2 Lambda had the highest damage cap. Fairly high practical damage as well. Her damage is nerfed in CSE no matter how you look at it.

She lost the hability to take you all the way to the corner with 236C 5D (rinse and repeat).
Yet she was B+ tier at best :/.
