  • Wow ukrainian language is powerful.

  • This is ukrainian.

  • Our neighbours are Ukrainian and when they first heard the tune were really put off. I convinced them to listen to the words and they were laughing.

While I, on the whole, have supported the USSR, it is a fact that Stalin was brutal and killed several million Ukranians.

  • @MaiHarinder It was not Stalin who killed the Ukranians. The Ukranian peasants were christians and Soviet Secret service was infested with christian-haters.

  • @turcoboshnak My Ukranian neighbours put the blame squarely on Stalin and "his Cossacks." On the other hand, they are fanatical Christians and they hate Russians, in general. It's possible they are just blaming Stalin because he was a non-Christian and a Russian. Sometimes, for some people, hating is more important than getting the facts straight.

  • @MaiHarinder

    Stalin was Georgian, not Russian.

  • @mog404 Oops! I guess they must hate Georgians, too, then. In any case, they blame Stalin for everything.

  • @MaiHarinder The cossacks were around long before stalin.

  • @DJYC21215 Of course, cossacks were around for centuries, just ask the Jews and the serfs.

That has nothing to do with my crazy Ukrainian neighbours.

  • Unbreakable Russia Forever!!!

  • bizarre?

  • this song is about nukes going off in russsia killing billions and being happy about it growing flowers? Nice job.

  • I hate the US for fighting communism. China is communist, and our greatest trade partner. Do we give a sht NOW?! HELL no!

  • Chrismas version of the soviet anthem ? :)

  • This is the Ukrainian version...let's just keep it in Russian

  • 0:26 I hope that's just a sunset.

  • @dreamcore

yes it is, it is Star City in Kazakhstan. It is a dessert, and after a wind storm, the sunsets look red like that. Similar to the western US.

  • @dreamcore Hahahha!

  • Sounds like Switzerland from Hetalia.

  • WTF? CRAZY VERSION!

  • @fhgffdh And real Slav patriots fight nazism and communism. Communism was a Jewish invention, not a Slavic one. Communism and Nazism butchered millions of Slavs, Be they White Russian, Russian, Ukrainian or Polish. The communists and nazis of this world have alot to answer for. It is every true Slav's mission to be free from these most unslavic ideologies. Slavs did not create communism or nazism - they suffered as a result of it. No more BS please.

  • 1:14 anti-aircraft battery :D

  • 0:37 That Look Like Chernobyl

  • @FilRuss101 That would be a coal mine

  • I swear Lady Gaga just went communist

  • That's CCCP anthem in Ukrainian.

  • @dewrenged No, it is not "The USSR anthem in Ukrainian". It is a spoof, and a rather vicious one, with repeated references to "drunken people (пьяный народ)". That's Russian, not Ukrainian

  • @SpectatorAlius Well, OK, I finally decided the reason I don't understand all the words is that it really is in Ukrainian after all:( But it is a spoof, it is NOT the Soviet Anthem. It is just set to that tune, as is the modern Russian National Anthem.

  • Can anyone tell me what 0:28 - 0:31 is?

  • Who let oprah go to moscow?

  • @R0ccojas0n

Damn.. She does sound like Oprah

  • @R0ccojas0n XD

  • @R0ccojas0n god and rush limba

  • The Song Is Beautiful And The Singer Has A Beautiful Voice.

    :-)

  • Ukraine is not Russia.

  • @preemptivestrike20 yes but ukraine is soviet union... or at least was

  • CCCP

  • Seems centered on the Ukraine.

  • In Soviet Russia America is still hated like everywhere else in the world

  • In soveit russia Soviet christmas carol sings you!

  • @supermariobubba In soviet russia this joke is funny .

  • @xCCCPCLANx in soviet Russia my joke piss people off

  • It just so happens that this is not the USSR anthem.

  • @migacz yes because one of the lyrics say something about the soviet union

  • @22Hammurabi No, the lyrics are about a Slavic union.

  • @migacz sounds quite alot like the USSR anthem to me. how do you figure it's not?

  • @truthslap The melody is the same, yes; but that would also apply to the contemporary Russian anthem.

Now, I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert on the matter, but I've learned a bit of Russian (and I'm Polish - the languages are similar). I don't understand half of the lyrics, but they're definitely not the lyrics of the USSR nor Russian anthems. It's written in a similar fashion, but it's about a Slavic (not Soviet) Union and doesn't mention communism (as far as I can tell).

  • @truthslap only it's sung by an old woman

  • @supermariobubba But even so, it sounds beautiful.

  • Oprah Winfrey went to Soviet Russia.

  • Happy commie new-years eve XDDDD

  • @Nicolai0Nerland you too comrade.

  • The new iPad has been announced

  • @Redarmy441 In soviet Russia, new IPad announces you.

  • @lazysoupness In soviet Russa, you no go to party party go to you

  • @lazysoupness In soviet Russa, you no go to party party go to you

  • @Redarmy441 In Soviet Russia, Cherry pops you.

In Soviet Russia, Chasity gives you herpes.

  • This song spreaking about the Slavic Union, and not the Soviet Union. The first have been created by all slavics countries (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus...) and the second doesn't exist today.

    The song is ukrainian

  • is it a woman singing or a guy with a high voice? either way it sounds cool

  • wtf?

  • I think it's the new version of the hymn made by Russia, and not from soviet union. That's the reason why the words are differents: you cannot speak of communism and similar things in the hymn of the post-communist russia :)

  • @MrPinkok It's definitely not the words that they use now... So maybe it's another language...

  • at first i thoght this was ukraine version cause of it being sugestions but i didnt hear the same lyrics so i thought this was slovakian sense if im right here slovokia is a country in russia.....now i dont know which language this is so can some one help me?

  • @SuperEzekial99 Its Ukrainian.

  • @Sladeiosen thanks dude.

  • Lyrics?

  • FUCKING GET AN MP3 DOWNLOAD NAO!!!! >:)

  • Its in Ukrainian and the song is actually about "The Slavic Union"

  • @haytxa911 Slavic Union?? explainme about the them please!! n.n

  • @haytxa911 oh well.....its still simply badd ass >:)

  • @haytxa911 So this is Hey Slavs (Yugoslav anthem) combined with the soviet anthem?

  • it's abuOt not Soviet Union, but Slavic Union.

    New version of panslavic anthem?

  • Nice Version, but almost all images is from Ukraina

  • Tales of Symphonia: Soviet Edition? (Search Youtube for "Beat the Angel" to hear what I mean)

  • VIVE LA RUSSIA I LOVE YOU ALL with out the help of Mother Russia we would not be free

  • This sounds more like Ukrainian than Russian.

  • @Jimaera This is Ukrainian

  • @massivesovietunion Aha, I knew it!

  • Communits dont' have a Christmas, let-s sing the anthem loke christmas...

  • I think this is not Soviet anthem. The lyrics is different. The ballons in the end seem like the flag of Ukraine. But it isn't their anthem.

  • Is this what they played when Soviet TV stations went off the air at midnight?

  • This is good, but Paul Robenson's version is still the best.

  • Nobody does get it? This is from some kind of ukrainian nationalistic site, The song is about ukraine, and it´s in ukrainian.

  • you gotta love how much propaganda they manage to get in in 1:57. You got fire works, the working class, cars, machines, and pouring hot liquid into a big steel pot.

  • Woooaaawh!!! I got so much goosebumbs and shiffers when I saw the Rocket take off around 0.30....

  • The fire jumping girls help make up for the church bell ringing. There are too many churches in this. Is it Glastnost? I don't hear any mention of Stalin or Lenin. Did I miss it? Is this after the reactionary counterrevolution? Damned counterrevolutionaries!

  • i guess there showing the happyer side?

  • is not Russian -.- is Ucrainian lol

  • I would die of laughter if they made a rap version or rock version of this anthem! XD

  • @angrypancakes1 They have made rock versions. Several actually.

  • @carmen510 @angrypancakes1 Wonder if there was a rap version though...

  • Sounds like the new Russian anthem-they retained the old music score, just changed the lyrics. My guess is that this was a version around. The video is just a collage of old Soviet mixes and some new stuff. Some of it looks more Alpine than Slavic.

  • the soviet union really did believe in the fires of industry

  • Why is the Soviet anthem is sung in Ukrainian?....

  • @Death70324

    No

It is a free interpretation in ucrainian

  • @Death70324 Because Ukranian was one of the oficial languages of the USSR. Not only russian. Remember that it was a federal sate of various republics.

  • Bell ringing is actually a great tradition in Russia and still very popular. So this is not that bizarre at all.

  • Whatever this is, it isn't either version of the Soviet anthem lyrics to this tune. Maybe it's the Putin Russian anthem or something else - don't know enough Russian to tell. The words are NOT the Soviet anthem though.

  • I don't think its in Russian; I think its in Ukrainian or something. It still sounds beautiful though. Lol, its one of the best songs ever, and I'm pure 100% America, but man I love it. I hope I can still get employed lol.

  • Haha I own you then get down and sweep my floor ye Yankee cunt rebelious bastard

  • Obama and Bush two sides of the same bloodthirsty puppet bastards (of the bigbrothers...)

Stop the money grabbing politicians !!!

Workers of the world unite !!!

Stop the racism , capitalism and fascism !!!

  • Comrade female labourer burnt for warmth for using capitalist dog machine.

  • @workergirls I agree with you 100%. How about we start with your country of Turkey. Stop exploiting the Kurds, give them their independence, make reparations to the Armenians for the genocide commited against them and stop your illegal occupation of the sovereign state of Cyprus.

  • Fuck USA fuck ittttt......greetings to our comrades in the north east from britian USA rebelious pigs

  • Fuck both! ;)

  • @BenceRAP fuck you haha

  • @cygod1 US policy is continuation of British policy. All US leaders are educated in Britain courtesy of the Rhodes Scholarship - established by Brit Cecil Rhodes, one of the biggest capitalist exploiters in history. British policy was of colonial conquest and exploitation. US policy is British policy. Not the other way around. Britain will always be 'Mother England' to US and the child never betrays its mother. So fuck you too

  • @TonyFever22

    Shhh, child.

  • Beautiful anthem, and sincere greetings from Iran. May Ahura Mazda watch over mighty Russia.

At 1:18 this is not Russian, this looks like an Iranian celebration, I think by Tadjiks, Ossetians, possibly Azeri? We Persians call it charshambeh suri, it is the cleansing ritual for the Persian New Year(Nowruz)

  • the usgay were always brainwashing the west into hating the USSR mainly because they were jealous of their acheivements. TRUE STORY

  • Better than a once racist country that is too afraid to admit minorities are destroying it's culture.

  • Whoa, you live in country that doesnt exist lol.

  • and i thought th other was good

  • subtitles plz

  • Przynajmniej wiadomo, jaki będzie hymn Ukrainy po zwyciestwie Janukowycza...;P

  • SLAVS'YA CCCP!!!!!!!!

  • I accually like this version, sounds nice

  • To follow Stalin's theory of Socialism in one country you need extremely strong Nationalism.

  • Peace can only be had when the last Nationalist is hanged by his own flag.

Freedom can only be had when the last Capitalist is strangled by the entails of the last Bureaucrat.

Long live the international workers unity !!!

Death to the fascism, capitalism and racism !!!

  • This sounds pretty good. It kinda goes against the epic Soviet Anthem though.

  • you see the car at 0:30 ? The other guy in the car is probably like " DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!!!"

  • I heard Freeborn Republics. Its the soviet anthem in Ukrainian.

  • Sounds like a Christmas Carol version of the Anthem of the Soviet Union. Must be all the bell ringing I suppose...

  • @mailchibi88 Funny thing was there was no Christmas in the USSR.

  • @phantomswordsmen not even an extra egg from the state?

  • Oh... did anyone actually undestend the words? :)

Ok, I did. It is NOT a just translated into ukranian version of famous song. It is reworked version which misses any socialism or kommunism signs, uses God and ukrainian nation instead.

  • I only understood "Sovyanskiy Soyuz" in the begining, and 'solnse' in the third stanza of the song, just after the chorus.

  • "Velyki mogutny slovyanski soyuz" = "Great and powerfull slavonic union". Note: at the beginning it is the monument of Khmelnytsky who united Ukraine with Russia again 350 years ago. And there is NO Mazepa in the video.

  • That's true

  • Long live great communism !!!

Long live Marxism and Leninism !!!

Glory to Stalin and Mao !!!

    Death to fascism !!!

  • What about the flag of the end? I've never seen it.

  • Hehehehe... author of that clip wants that flag as flag of Russian-Ukraine state;)

  • Oh really? I didn't know anything about that...

  • In the end of clip author gives address to site. It's in Ukrainian, but in translation means that Ukrainians and Russians have to create empier... This flag appears on that site everywhere, so I think that must be flag of that empire.

  • It isnt the soviet anthem. IDK what anthem is that, but certainly isnt the soviet.

  • It IS the Soviet Anthem, but sung in Ukrainan

  • Yes!

  • It is modified soviet anthem.

  • In that version there's no word like "sovyetskich"(there's word "slovyanskich" and there's nothing about Lenin.

  • That are only few expamples of differences between soviet and that versions.

  • Wrong lyrics.

  • This is Ukranian...This version sounds odd...

  • haha , what the fuck is that?

  • Is this sort of discussion the type which occurred in the Supreme Soviet ?. If so, it is why Mama Russia clicked off on Commie, revealed its true underlying capitalist nature, and is not giving that a try in the open.

This sort of back and forth is not productive.

    Good music. Loved the video.

    Speak gently and producively

    TomtheoldactivistinUtica

  • this is the christian communist anthem of ukraine

  • the national anthem of the soviet union is probably the best song ever written and this version is simply superb!

  • @Botato2008 drivel, kindly grow a cerebellum

  • @Botato2008 Uh-huh...

    Well then....

    Damn commies.

  • Now..now.. i'm the communist =D

  • Ukranian version is so shitty... ))

  • how can they associate church bells with commie anthem? have they no shame?

  • I'm not even slightly socialist, and I agree with you.

  • YOu are idiot, you need help!

  • I am idiot? I need help? you are the communist, not me! hypocrite

  • Yes, you are idiot! And you need help, you sick motherfucker!

  • I also want Stalin back, but to kill such stupid retards like you! Come here to mother Russia, our police will send you to Siberia to Gulag! Ahahaha!

  • why should they send me? I'm not the revolutionary shithead maniac that fights the state :) and if Stalin would come back the chances are higher of you receiving a nice stalinist execution than me :3

  • I told shut the fuck up! So why the fuck are you continue to shit on this cool video, you fucktard?

  • stop being frustrated stupid, you may accidentally do us all a favour and pop a vein, then, hopefully, die :<

  • too much cowbell. too much! xD

  • Beautiful anthem! I think they could have chosen a better singer, though.

Where did you find this, anyway? I've been looking all over to find the Soviet National Anthem translated into the different Soviet languages.
