  • I think, that the 4 points for droping the table on it, influence the vibration of the table. It's surely different, when the table has been fixed / glued on the other parts (Sides + neck + bridge, ...).

The experience of making different guitars is definitely the best way the make good guitars.

    ... but why not ?!

    Thx

  • @soaring138 You have the right for sure. You don't think that the master-luthier would show every secret at once, don't you ?

  • can you explain this a little more if it's not a secret? like, what does this method serves for and what did you learn by doing this test on this particular soundboard? thanx

  • @4bu53r It is not me who do this operation. The man who does this is a friend of mine - master luthier Galin Penev. By the way he does this operations many times with the top and the back of the future guitar. Doing this he sees where exactly the top and the back doesnt resonate well enough and makes them thinner or makes the ribs in those areas thicker. The final result has to be a simetry on the figures that the salt crystals form on the surface. And may be there is some secret too...

  • @krassip61 thank you, now i get it :)

  • Its a good way, but the frequency change when you put everything together.. this isnt definitive..

  • @soyajnc Yes, that's correct. Nothing is definitive. But the master luthier knows how to put together the parts, considering those changes ;-)

  • wow
