  • Hello Mr. Thompson

  • @BrownNosedGnome .... I think he's talking to you...

  • It sucks that they've stopped doing it now. But my all time favourite was last weeks 'the superfluous third nipples',

  • The first time I heard this, I thought they had genuinely got it wrong! Who doesn't know who the Simpsons are!?

  • THEY FINALLY SAID THE SIMPSONS

  • I love this. (BTW I am of no relation to the video uploader)

  • oh yeah, "the skiddly diddly doowhop a dimpsons" is really a mispronunciation.... might just be a joke people lol

  • its starting to become ridiculous when ' the 2 sugars and milk' is used. ..infact boring...lol

  • It amazes me that some people are getting worked up about this. I can accept not finding it funny; humour is subjective. But getting annoyed by it seems pathetic. It's, what, a few seconds every day? Mute your tv or switch channel temporarily. Complaining about it is ridiculous, it's really just light hearted fun. Personally I look forward to the numerous variations.

  • This was amusing, but it's wearing a little thin now. No explanation as to why this started back in December. They did announce it correctly for a few nights but soon went back to incorrectly pronouncing again.

  • skiddlybiddlyduwopadonsons... really? haha

  • Some of these were intentional for a joke

  • @CardcaptorStacey I thought they were all honest to god mistakes.

  • @CardcaptorStacey Only some?

  • The 'Third Nipples' today XD

  • @frazervarney - "Superfluous" third nipples.

  • THE PIMPSONS I CAN'T.

  • It's a joke you utter morons

  • Bugsy Malone!

  • WTF?

  • Are these peoples retarded or what?

  • @niamhishawt Youtube is half retarded.

  • @SatandFang hahahahahaha you think there's a God. That's adorable!

  • @genericnerdyusername GO TO HELL ABHJGEGRUIFERUEEE@!

  • @SatanFang No such place, my lovely.

  • @genericnerdyusername DUHUTRIUOTRHJOEGRJOPJEGR ANAQagaguauaguaguaugauguozaguaguoagua whrhIWEOFRWEHFWEIHOFWEIIHWEFHWEIFWEIHIiheihofweihofhweife amy headset IS FALALALING OFFF!

  • This is hilarious. Nuff said.

  • @SatanFang Why the racism, Murphy? Besides, Australians are just descendants from British prisoners anyway :D

But yeah, you're right. Every single one of us Brits are exactly the same, just like every Australian is a stereotype.

  • @SatanFang Nice try but I ain't black, but if I was, hey, at least I'd still have won this little debate over who has a bigger penis, tiny cock.

  • This is so funny, but so obviously fake.I don't ever remember channel 4 calling the Simpsons any of those names...

  • @BassettReviewer The funny thing is, its true. Today they called them the wadjamacallits

  • @maximus01923 Really?I've never heard them say wadjamacallits or any of those things in video.

  • @BassettReviewer Watch it tonight. Seriously.

  • Thumbs up if you turn on Channel 4 at 6pm every day just to hear what the announcers say, then turn it off when the show stars :D

  • @silentbob82 no, I watch The Simpsons because it's a great show

  • @SatanFang British people actually have a reputatuion of being very polite.

  • @Bigchimpin87 Haha I received negative votes because people think it's going to piss me off, haha humans are so dumb. Anyway every British person I met was rude as fuck and insulted just about everyone.

  • Well I must say I think you are a very rude man.

  • @Bigchimpin87 Don't worry about it, he's only making a fool of his racist, racist self.

  • This is still going.

  • maggie is no dummy when it comes to dummies. the flintstones.

  • This isn't half as annoying as the Ch4 guy who can't pronounce "Film". Why does he always say "Fillem"?!?!?

  • @jacksback21 That's how it's pronounced with an Northern Irish accent. People make fun of me all the time, so I'm actually glad Channel 4 use it.

  • @jacksback21 It's not to do with the person. It's an accent thing, like how people in the south of England pronounce "path" as "parth"

  • @TehFrasssaa I normally like the Northern Irish accent but I gotta say, the way he says Film really irritates me.

  • @jacksback21 It's not just NI accent, Geordies, such as myself, say it like that too, even though my geordie accent is quite diluted.

  • @TehFrasssaa a geordie pronounces film as 'fillum'..lol..e.g. 'am gannin tu the pictchas tu watch a fillum.' :)

  • Thumbs up If no one noticed this!

  • its the cheese and onions?

  • How come i never notised this????

  • Haha i love this the announcers have been saying the simpsons for years so they decided to have a little fun they say anything as long as it ends in sons for example raisons by doing this people think they are saying simpsons because everyone knows that it is on at six every weekday so your brain kind off plays tricks with you haha

  • @leonard2k9 Not really mate, it doesn't always end in "sons". Cheese and onions, salt and vinegars (2 night ago now) and flintstones, for example ;)

  • Comment removed

  • it couldnt have been just for the c4 mash up, cus they were doin it, pre-december. It really pissed me off. It wasnt even funny

  • The Rumpelstiltskins.

  • haha 'The Sultanas Movie' is apparently on C4 tonight

  • The hicksons cus it's american and all americants are hicks lol

  • I'm English and I don't get our humour.

  • @rcallan aye

  • Just watching e4 and the presented called the Simpsons Movie and the Pigsons.

  • "Shit" people say in the youtube comments...

  • Comment removed

  • The salt and vinegars today!

  • lol what a fail!

  • I wonder if Sky1 will do that in the future?

  • Wheeeey, banter!!!!

  • Ohai xenophobic comments.

  • Maybe they're just a bit bored? All egging each other on in the staff room innit...

  • It's not a case of sone people 'not getting it' It's just not funny.

  • The Tompsons, The Samsons, The Skiddlybiddlydoowopadompsons, and The Flinstones, would have actually made good introductions, if they had been for the right episodes...

  • Today it was the dimplesons! How bizzare!

  • @CUNProductions My bro heard it too! x

  • I love how everybody who isn't english wont really get this :')

  • This is funny!!!

    1. This is a joke.

    2. The purpose is to make viewers laugh.

    3. Some Americans find it amusing as well.

  • It's pretentious, self-indulgent crap!!

  • Haha, one of the announcers just called it the mobbingtons a few minutes ago

  • @ytimg62 *Lisa. Stupid typo.

  • @kkaribbeankkola There was an episode where Lusa takes up soccer. But In Britian soccer is called football.

  • haha the Rumpelstiltskin's.

  • the only thing it made me proud of were the old but amazing channel 4 indents.

  • Comment removed

  • Who still watches the simpsons on channel 4? Sky one all the way.

  • Did you know it started as a genuine mistake, then some 'comic genius' decided it would be a funny joke? THEY THOUGHT WRONG! (I'm English by the way)

  • god damn i love the British...

  • And we hate patronising Americans... Jog on.

  • I think there must have been a contest between the announcers to see who can go to craziest... =P

  • I love this!! The best one for me was "The Flintstones" :P

  • The pimpsons lmaaoooooo

  • the 'stinkersons' and the 'putins' were used this week

  • what's this all about?

  • the pimpsons, haha

  • Why not? The opening credits in the show change for each episode.

  • but why?

  • this is frickin amazing

  • they did those announcements as a bit of fun over christmas because there were so many episodes of the simpsons that they got bored and apparantly the bosses weren't in so they just played about with it. Squiddily widdily do up the donsons is my favourite

  • 1.29 is the best.

  • 1:23 Double Dimpsons... AAAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • I get it, I'm from the UK, but how come CH.4 did this? I usually watch Simpsons on CH.4 and I never realised this! =|

    Was it an illusion! lol

  • I am fucking crying!! The Cheese and Onions is the killer blow!

  • why is this so funny?

  • I like how channel 4 don't take them self too seriously

The beeb and itv wouldn't do this

  • @bazzaboy45 They wouldn't do it as they don't have the rights...

  • This was done for the channel 4 mash up.

Thumbs up so people can see!

  • @bazzaboy45 Really? Because the mash-up was just a one-night thing. They've been mispronouncing the Simpsons long after the Mash-Up

  • @Shaunbadia195 Yeah i just realized that i was wrong. Many people said it was the c4 mash up and that made sense back then but i didn't realize they were still doing it

  • @bazzaboy45 Yeah, the mash-up itself wasn't anything great. Although you should check out out 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown if you haven't seen it.

  • Now when I say "Hello Mr. Thompson" and press down on your foot, you smile and nod.

  • @ramsdenjeremy I think he's talking to you.

  • @ramsdenjeremy

    Agent: 'Hello Mr. Thompson!' *Stamps*

Homer: *Turns to other agent* 'I think he's talking to you'

  • 1:28 was the best one and I could barely hear it! Disappointing.

  • Yes! I've heard a few of these on C4 and thought I was going mad.

  • Hello Mr. Thompsons

  • 2:00 best part!!

  • I can't imagine these went out to broadcast, seeing as very few of the synopsis' relate to any episodes that I can think of. Bart gets a new Mum? Lisa takes up football? When?

  • @kkaribbeankkola At least one went out, me and my mum were watching it live and they said something like skiddly biddly do up the Donsons and we talked about it for days because that's our surname and we thought they were talking about a different programme. You can even see it recorded from a TV on this video

  • @GildedWildebeest skiddly biddly do up the Donsons is an amazing surname.

  • HAHA!

  • I think that they did them on purpose people...

  • I think the point is that if your watching this on TV, youll believe what you hear on and come to the conclusion that your wrong and misheard before you admit that the TV announcer was wrong.

  • 2:01 flinstones? that's a totally diffrent cartoon, man!

  • Fox have copyrighted the word Simpsons.

  • epicnes has arrived! ♥

  • tha Pimpsons are too pimp for u!...

  • Those legends!

  • He was probably bribed to say them wrong. But funny nonetheless.

  • Hahaha! I genuinely remember about half of these as they were broadcast! Brilliant!

  • the best thing about being English is reading the comments of people who don't understand our humour, if you don't "get" it, its probably best not to comment.

  • literally cant stop laughing at the end !! cheese and onions what the hell lol- watching the channel 4 intro to the simpsons will never be the same now!!! =D

  • They aren't mispronouncing it, they're playing with the name in correspondence with the episode.

  • One of my favorite British TV network continuity fails to date..

  • Not sure if announcing "The Thompsons" was a clever reference to the episode "Cape Feare" or a mistake

  • @amazingphil OMG its Amazing Phil

  • Comment removed

  • Fake. I can hear the editing. Nice try though.

  • Comment removed

  • The skiddly biddly do-op da-daltons.

  • This is definatly a joke channel four are having

  • @HarriboLOL You think *facepalm*

  • hahaha do you think these announcers are doing it on purpose? lol do they still do it?

  • im so glad im not the only 1 who noticed this. i thought i was going mad... =P xx

  • magies no dummy when it comes to dummys, the flintstones! hehehehe

  • I love the "Grimpsons" :) I saw many of these on TV

  • Obviously a joke...but can't find purpose. D:

  • @goformickey One of them accidentally announced it wrong & the rest of the announcers carried it on for a laugh.

  • @goformickey The purpose of a joke is to make a funny or amusing quip that others find funny. Not everyone finds the same things funny.

  • I thought I was hearing things/was mis-hearing his accent, and now I find out I was getting rick rolled the whole time! Channel 4, trololololol

  • the flinstones?! really?

  • Trolololo!

  • I was watching alll those shows and didnt notice D:

  • @barbaro267 Youre an idiot.

  • this HAS to be a joke....if you're reading your script, you can't just mispronounce as something completely different. How do you get The Rumpelstilskins from The Simpsons? Or Cheese and Onions?

  • When they said "skiddly diddly do-op-sons" .. I realised they were trolling..

  • quality

  • *stomp* *stomp* Hello Mr. Thompson!

  • haha i watch the simpsons too much-i've heard most of these :3

  • The Rumpelstiltskins. Wow!

  • I swear I've only ever heard one of these. Gahaha.

  • XDD

  • it took me a while to realise it was deliberate!

  • @BlakeJamesEpicBlog The first one was probably a slip but I bet they heard it was wrong but then just took it from there.

  • the rumplestiltskins did it for me

  • This is the best thing ever. I love channel 4
