OK so the quality on this upload might not be the best, but credit where credits due, you are the ONLY person to upload the recorded version of this most wonderful Leo Sayer version and for that i thank you, thank you a LOT !!! ... Leo sings wonderfuly live, but the live version misses the backing harmonies. Ive still got my 7" vynil copy of this song, but its got a crack right on the edge, still playable, but it sounds like someones added an extra bomp on every revolution LOL, not good ;)

Tom,I managed to get the greatest hits album albeit on tape,7years ago from a motorway service station,and played it to My coach passengers,on the road home from Toddington,to Glasgow,and yes, this track was on it.

phil definitely made this his own. he may not have written this one, but his production on his version made it brilliant. this is leo sayer making the song his own, and while i much prefer phil, leo does a fine job himself.

I dont know about "more personal", all i know is i very much love both Leo Sayers singing voice and Phill Collins, but Leo's version of this song was the only one i knew of for years and years, so i think for me thats why i love Leo's the best as i got the vynil single when it first came out. Probably if id heard Phills first though i would have thought his best ... just my ideas on it though ;)

@asceses Nope, this isnt the original. The song was originally written and recorded by an artist named Billy Nicholls. He was highly recognized by major bands, but never big in the the publics eye. It's really hard to find his version, but if you go to his site you can hear a clip of it. Very synth and harmonious.
