  • how much did u sell her for. let me know so i know how much around they cost at that condition

  • nice car to restore ,, all the best ..

  • aye how you put the bumper on the car....im in need of some help

  • If anyone is interested in restoring an old 1974-75 Impala I have a nice clean set of the original hub caps for sale on eBay copy & paste this item # in the searchbar on eBay Motors ( 260809525969 ) And if you mention this comment I will ship them for free.

    Thanks

  • worst thing with the 73 chevy 350s was they had soft camshafts and the lobes would round of causing it to backfire through the carb.Had a 73 Impala, loved it and cant find a decent one now....I think James Bond totaled them all on Live and Let Die

  • 200 bucks

  • Ahh, the best shapes of Impalas, what the 1973 has. Even if it is a group of rust, it looks a very great car.

  • LOL. Only in New York. All that jagged metal would never pass the annual safety inspection here, 2 states away... still, I'm happy to hear that someone is going to restore it! The 73's were one of the best Impalas they made!

  • The rear wheel wells are what worries you. The body like this you'd might fall through the undercarriage.

  • my grandpaw had a 73 impala four door,he sold it a few weeks before he died,he said that car was mine to restore but we needed to the money to pay for hospital bills, thats when my addiction started for the chevy impala

  • I would roll around in that car looking the way it does in a heartbeat, awesome Chevy.

  • @sjnallie1982 Yea it was big inside, very roomy. The trunk was also roomy. I used to put in my 100watt fender Bassman amplifier in the trunk of that car. You didn't have to have folding down back seats. Cars were big and solid in those days.

  • Oh,thanks. l was just looking for it.

your car? Very NICE envious of !

  • Man that is rough. East coast weather must suck.

  • i love those hoopties :)

just keep it the way it is,.

  • Did you ever sell her or keep her. Is she being restored. Let me know when you have a chance

  • @old66impala

I sold her with a sad moment but was happy at the same time because someone from brooklyn was going to restore her. I had many offers from junkies to use the car metal scrap but the car was such a great machine. It was not worthy of such a death. Any old car that was reliable should never end up in the junkyard. This car ran well till the very end.

  • Ok, Ok, Ill take it.

  • ill but that off u 20,000 dollars..............CASH lolz

  • Wow! I havent seen an old car in this bad a shape still on the raod in a LONG time! Serious love from owner!

  • gonna be pretty damn sweet after restoration

  • you need another car.... this thing is totally cancered uo..... goodness...

  • oh god this is my love,, i had the same one 1973 white one, i love it i loveeeeeee it

  • The firs car I drove was my dads 4 door just like this (except the raised trunk and well the 4 doors) in 75 ...I was 11. he went from a 68 Galaxie to a 70 Montego MX wagon to this in the 60's /70's probably his most reliable car since I was born.Took it to Chicago in 77 from Buff NY then wrecked by one of my brothers,

  • LOVE THIS! the fact this guy resisted driving it to the wreckers in xchange for 50 bucks makes him one of my heroes. i respect original/restored "gems" but i'll strain my neck anyday for a true, bonafide, scummobile! used to see beaters with character all the time in the 70s and 80s but they are a dying breed. even well used, bland, beat-up, 4 wheeled pablum cars of recent vintage have none of the head turning appeal of your 73! have a black 65 impala 4dr ht and an 83 imp 4dr. kudos to ya!

  • I actually got one, I used to drive it and it worked perfectly...but that was some years ago....I stopped driving it when the price of gas went up cuz it was a guzzler...don't know what I wanna do with it yet...My dream is to fix it back up...Mine isn't as bad as this one...doesn't have the rust this one does

  • If I were you I would keep it and join a chevy car club. You may find some talented body workers or mechanics that may help you restore it. I sold this one because of the gas it drank.

However this car took me 2x without any problems from NYC to Florida and then to Maine and back to NYC.

I believe the reason for all the rust was because I live 5 miles from the ocean and the salty air along with the 4 seasons has it's toll on her.

    All the best.

  • some one salein one of these that needs some work the number is 7034013356

    out va

  • How much you get for this ride homie?

  • thats a shame a nice car like this i am looking for a 1973 Chevrolet Impala do you know where I can find a good condition73 impala thanks

  • Sorry, I have no idea where you can get one, especially a 2 door. All the best.

  • @coololds85 I also had a 1968 chevy and went on the road with it for 3 months travelling from NY to Florida. Stayed at all the KOA'S (campsites of America) this was back in 1974 when gas was .50 cents a gallon and camping was $3.00 a night. What an amazing experience. Me and a friend who just got out of the Navy hit the road with my Chevy and just travelled every where on route 1 and 9 south.

That 68 chevy gave me such wonderful memories.

  • @coololds85 I drive a 1973 Impala Sport Coupe in Sweden with a 674hp injected Scott Shafiroff 540ci. Interested?

  • @coololds85 INTERNET

  • I love the car just the way it is. Perfect East Coast car. A testament to old American cars and how durable they were.

  • Your right they don't make them like they used to. If they did the american auto companies would not be needing any money. Greed is the word. They make it so that it breaks down quicker.

  • indeed

  • I love these cars and i had a 72 impala custom but it needed quarters and a trunk floor, it was to far gone far gone for me cuz i was still in high school and didn't make enough money to fix it. but this car is far worse than what mine was and the only reason i would prob fix the if money wasn't such a problem is the fact that these year impalas are so hard to find

  • man you cant be serious. you can either scrap it or part it out. but what i cant understand is, how someone can drive a car seeing it rusting without doing something about it. i mean thats a classic. even in the far gone ninetees. i dont accuse you because i dont know if you are the original owner. but whoever was so lazy to a fine machine needs to be left in the desert.

  • I would agree with you about the maintenance . MY dad gave it to me in great condition. I also had a 68 chevy impala & spent some money in fixing it up. I had no garage so I parked it on the street. When that car was fixed it was stolen 2 days later. I worked in a bad part of brooklyn & this chevy was all I had at that time. It was so reliable for 35 yrs. I couldn't afford to fix it & would never junk it. This car deserves respect. .I hope this answers your question.

  • is the car still for sale

  • Sorry, I finally sold my sweet Chevy to a guy from brooklyn NY

  • that car needs alot of TLC

but it has the potential to be a very nice car

  • I finally sold my Chevy impala to a guy from flatbush, Brooklyn NY. I put it on craigslist & in 2 days it was picked up. The guy came with a flatbed truck. I started the chevy, drove it up the ramp, got my cash, handed over the title & keys. I was happy to find someone who will take care of this rescue car & give it new life. I never intented to have it junked because it ran so well & never gave me problems. My dad said it best. The car did not go to the graveyard, it went to the emergency room.

  • yea

i hate when people crush them because they dont want to fix them

granted there are some cars that are so gone that they cant be fixed

my truck was in rough shape

its being restored slowly but surly

  • anyoine knwo where junkyard car lookin for 73 chevy impala im try buy me body parts

  • a have a 63 impala for sale with hydros

  • I agree with you. This car has always been reliable, loyal and a so called rescue car. I am hoping to find someone to take care of it and give it new life. Some people call it crap but they are ignorant and shallow minded. They don't see the potential like you, and others who made comments on this site. You can get of parts for this chevy from a book called Impala Bob's. Check it out

The problem selling this car is 90% who want to buy it live in Florida. it cost more to ship it. Take care

  • B-H

I've seen cars like this be restored to like new condition. Seems mechanically good, new sheet metal can be welded to restore the bottom, the doors can be replaced with better units, upholstery can be recovered.

I hope whoever gets it doesn't donk it or put dubs or demo derby it...it should be restored to factory stock and driven like a big comfortable cruiser that it once was.

  • has the car been sold yet?

  • Not yet. Everyone who want to buy it lives in Florida and shipping the car is over $600.00 It cost more to ship it than what I'm selling it for.

  • Sad that people like you have no value for a car that provided good service should end up being junked. People who love classic cars would never junk them. That's a code of ethics we have. I guess your not one who value's beauty of the past. To bad you have no idea when it comes to potential.

  • Did or do you have a K5 Blazer?

  • NO, NOT AT ALL. JUST THIS CHEVY.

  • I get a laugh of all these people that want less than 495! That car is well worth the money just for the engine, and trans! Somebody could also make a few bucks selling a few front end parts on Ebay along with the instrument cluster.

  • Your right, people expect everything for nothing. They want it all and don't realize the value of what is really being sold. This car for parts along goes more on ebay. The engine is so quiet it sometimes amazes me. Anyway, it good to know that people like you recognize these things. Have a good weekend.

  • Demo derby station wagons like this body style without engines or transmissions sell for over 1000 on Ebay.

  • can you send me your number nad where are you located

  • Sorry, but the car is in the process of being sold. Waiting for trucking arrangements

  • oh ok thank you!

  • give me phone number i might wnat look at and buy it how many mileage?

  • She's in the process of being sold.

  • will you take 400

  • I'm in the process of selling her. I have to wait until 2 weeks after the new year for finalization. Once done I'm taking price off car. Thanks for asking anyway.

  • reminds me of what my 66 Impala conv looked like when I found her in lindenhust in 1996. Since I've almost completely rebodied her and have shown her at almost every show at Belmont, and all over LI the last few years. I'm proud of her. If your realy want to sell her make sure she's going to someone who will restore her. If you decide to keep her and fix her up your self let me know. I can tell you were to get rust free or replacement body panels

  • I remember the 66 impala's & the convertibles were beautiful.I also had a 68 chevy impala. Fantastic cars. I would still have it if someone didn't steal it. I was offered $300 for my 73 chevy to be junked but I would never do that to this car. She was always a reliable car. Everyone thats interested in buying her is from Florida and Virginia.

It cost more to transport the chevy than to buy it. I am only interested in selling to someone who can restore her.

  • The floor pans are shot. Frame is good. Recently put in a cross member for transmission and engine.

  • is the frame roted?

  • where is this?

  • Queens NY. Which is 20 miles east of NYC.

  • still for sele do it still run

  • Yes it's still for sale and runs well.

  • nothing a little bondo could fix up :)

  • woow!

    thats a good price

    did it sale?

  • Not yet. Most people that want to buy are from Florida & it cost more to ship the car than the price of what it cost the car.

  • is it still for sale???

  • Yes, Where are you located???

  • his voice is the same as Guito the killer pimp from Risky Buisness, dosent he.?

  • What car I would really like is the car from the movie Uncle Buck. I would drive that everywhere.

  • Man, that is a cool car. I would like to have an old piece of crap car to drive around. They just dont make cars like they used to.

  • I would love to have it. Beautiful car, even though it needs quite a bit of work. Goes to show, these old Impalas last forever. Too bad the new ones aren't built this well.

  • still 4 sale ?

  • nah. dont restore it. put the engine in a prius

  • thats my car. cool ratstyle!

  • Is this car still 4 sale ?

  • Yes. Click on more info and it will give you more information

  • man the car u have is very rare i would take the time because more and more people are trying to get their hands on 71-73 2 door impalas

  • I really need time to consider if I can restore the car.
