Mira, to get it DEAD PIN STRAIGHT, you can blow it out first with a blowdryer and nozzle on it with the round brush....and then use the flat ceramic iron. ;) That's how I do my hair. Its how I get it pin straight ;) Try it! :D

i tried a mohawk once before about a year ago..I did it more european looking though..it was thicker and was shaped more like a skunk..it was kinda hot....i gave up on the mohawk for a minute..then I only tried it again because of the video in the description box...we were doing an air band piece, and i thought the look would fit the piece.. it did..i learned..a mohawk can look good on anyone..it just will vary in widths and sizes..like SittingPrettymn says.. you won't know unless you try.. ;)
