An amazing encore after what was, in my opinion, the best semi-final recital at the Cliburn that year. It is a pity Mr. Plano was not one of the winners. Continue sharing your beautiful music.
I actually liked it. Lots of nerve! (And honestly, you can't really compare a live performance with a studio recorded version. And I say this even though Stephen Hough's version is my favourite)

He's better at Liszt. Stephen Hough is the gold standard with this piece.

Nobody talks about the music!!
Terrific, creative work by a wonderful composer--much too neglected today.

Please listen Rach. and Horowitz recordings. They liked this opus. Boths. In young age. Then compare.
Arithmometer of Stephen Hough is the best machine.

Een concertuitvoering is geen studio-opname!
Proficiat voor deze overigens goede pianist!
Geert Dehoux.

Dat is juist en dit is een pianistiek 'smerig' stukske!
Verder vind ik dit thans een vrij ongecontroleerde uitvoering, met weliswaar ook goede fragmenten en ideeën in.

I agree wth cut classic. Stephen hough nailed this on his early virgin recording.
