  • Dude, Fat AGNUS!! lol @ Fat Angus.

  • at 1:14 the A520 video adapter is used so that your tv can be used as a monitor uou attach an RF cable from one end of it to your tv through the port beside the power input. (thats what th UK ones are like anaway)

  • @ComradeZX Oh, that's right! The Amiga 500 couldn't do colour RF output for some stupid reason. The older Amiga 1000 could.

  • @Keeper1st Rock Lobster is a song by the B-52's. It was on the b side of the single Love Shack.

  • Just good memories. My favourite game was Their Finest Hour. Played on the Amiga the game was fantastic, but played on a normal PC the graphic and sound quality was horrible in comparison to the original platform.

  • @solverh Oh yeah! That was a great game!

  • Inside jokes by the designers,I forgot a lot of the stuff. I got tech books on the Amiga computer, dlls and software development disks ,I got some amiga junk, that's the truth.

  • I hope you didn't have to send this beauty to recycle.

There is always people who are interested in using Amiga hardware.

  • I think I ended up keeping it. I'm not sure! I know I kept my A1000, at least.

  • @Keeper1st Thank goodness! The whole thing is a precious gem. Those expansion boards are rare.

  • Are you still trying to get rid of this stuff as I would be very interested in it?

  • @paulie851 I believe I did give this Amiga away to a friend to sell for whatever he could get... but actually I'm not sure now. I may still have it in a box somewhere now that I've moved.

  • this is the worst amiga mod i've ever seen. i guess videothing is just a modulator. Hey dude respect your amiga and put it a real case or it's own case :)

  • This one never had a case. It came as-is. My Amiga 1000 is still in original form with signature case, though. I think I was given this one because of memory advantages over the 1000 allowed me to run more programs or control the 40MB hard disk which I couldn't on the 1000. I don't quite remember anymore... I guess the '80s really were a long time ago!

  • no man :) too many people living in 80's i still using my A500,A1200,C64,C128d :)

  • Rock Lobster is a B52s song..

  • Ah yes! I forgot that one. It's been a while since the early '80s, eh?

  • I think the Video Thing is either a RF modulator or a genlock!

  • Genlock sounds familiar. I think the Amiga 1000 could do color composite output, but the Amiga 500 could not (only monochrome), thus the box plugs into the Amiga 500's monitor port and converts to single composite out and split chroma/luma out, like used on the Commodore 1702 monitor for the C64. I still use a 1702 monitor as my everyday television, connected to a VCR for reception. It works as good as new despite falling onto solid oak (case chipped) during the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989.

  • I have got an amiga cd 32 bit. ^^

It still works like a charm and is alot of fun to play but it needs some dusting by now I'd say. Best game would be either lemmings, oscar or super frog.

No wait, actually, add diggers. That's an awesome game! But one of my controllers broke so I can only enjoy my single player games now, but it's still 'alot' of fun!
