That's FLYWHEEL HP. 160-170 MAYBE at the rear wheels. Pathetic. Engine is far too heavy and doesn't produce any power at all. Not enough for me to justify bragging about owning a "5.0." A 2.3 turbo Fox could easily make more power, and with a fraction of the weight.

There are imprperly designed and for the quantity of cylinders and displacement that do not make any horsepower or torue. Why do think ford is proceeding with mass producing performance V6 engines in most of there automobiles now.

@steeda28 No sir. NO Fox was rated with that much power. The closest one was in '85, when Ford swapped to E5AE heads, a different carb, and a better camshaft. The power was bumped to 210. That's FLYWHEEL HP. 160-170 MAYBE at the rear wheels. Pathetic. Engine is far too heavy and doesn't produce any power at all. Not enough for me to justify bragging about owning a "5.0." A 2.3 turbo Fox could easily make more power, and with a fraction of the weight.
