More realistically, getting something for all of the money you've paid to the Federal Government over the years isn't all that bad either. The lives being controlled are those paying into the coffers. Set besides an individual's responsible saving plan and it doesn't look that great.

@klinkysworld Most states you MUST have car insurance. 48 of the 50 states require you to own car insurance and the government does not pay for that. Also there are many many millions of Americans that choose not to have health care even though they can afford it.
i know that most states you MUST have car insurance, if not then the car is being impounded. but what i am pointing out is that the only way you will have car insurance is IF YOU HAVE A CAR, WHICH IS A LUXURY. just because you don't have health care even if you're able to afford it doesn't mean that you won't NEED it.

I could walk or bike to destinations i need to be, but i choose not to because i have the money to afford the luxury of a car. I could live out on the streets (though not comfortably) or in an apartment, but i have the money to afford the luxury of having a home. Auto/home insurance are luxuries because we need to own one or the other, to have the insurance (though in WI, until June 2010, auto insurance is not required).
As far as health goes, there is no scenario in which I can choose to live without worrying about my health. Health is universal, everyone has it and no one can live without it. Universal health is a public benefit. As far as being in debt, if you have taken any college econ course, you will learn that it is best to spend when in a recession.

I could live out on the streets (though not comfortably) or in an apartment, but i have the money to afford the luxury of having a home. Auto/home insurance are luxuries because we need to own one or the other, to have the insurance (though in WI, until June 2010, auto insurance is not required).

He also says 1 in 8 Americans are foreclosing on their homes. I guess we should just spend hundreds of billion of dollars if not trillions to help these morons who choose to buy worthless items instead of paying their bills. When does it stop? Are we also going to help people who can't pay for their car loans, or help people who can't pay for rising gas prices or people who can't pay their phone bills? It is insane. We are living in a nanny state. Whatever happened to the PURSUIT of happiness?

Our system is based on Debt. How the hell can everyone be profitable?? huh? Can you answer that? Cause its impossible. For someone else's gain, someone has to lose something. That is why we GROW THE DEBT...in order to level the playing field and have more people getting profitable. Unfortunately, corruption and the inherently flawed nature of the price system causes this mess. There is no way around it. No side has the answer, Left or Right.

How can anyone take what Michael Moore says seriously? He wants national health care. I hope he knows it clearly violates our right to privacy. It would also make the main problem even worse. The main problem is that there are people who abuse the system by going to the emergency and make the tax payer pay for it. Under national health care that would continue on an even bigger scale.

I totally agree with Michael Moore. Mike does not BS about his expose or any of his movies. To the republicans yes the truth is what it is.
