I loved your selection of pictures. I was there in this time. I am the woman that appear in the villages's kitchen. Then, I knew you, I'm quite sure. It's so funny. Thanks a lot. I will go back to Findhorn soon, I hope!
I miss Findhorn!!! I studied abroad there last spring for 4 months...and it was amazing...I really miss it there. Everyone and the way you are a within a community...
i spend my time visiting/living on various communes. and i found this place was not a hippy anarchist spot. its more for middle aged people. far too many rules and far too expensive for me! i would describe it as more like group thearpy. they say it changes peoples lives, so if thats what you want go. but its not for the likes of me
wow, amazing pictures ,sights and sounds, i have lived in the north east for many years and would love too spend more time in findhorn community apart from the occasional fleeting visit there during the summer months,
how would i go about finding out about life and work in the community mara ??
it would be a dream to be part of the community there,
thank you again for posting this slection of pictures, take care,,, Billy
do I miss Findhorn or what? I sure do! I studied abroad there 2 x's during two different semester and it sure helped to change my life in pretty significant ways. I will never forget Findhorn. ever. Would love to go back. Just super extra bummed out that it is so amazingly expensive to do any programs there. I can only imagine the fortune they bring in in every conference they host. Can't they bring down the cost so people with less means can attend? Isn't that the point for holding such things?
Thank you so much for those lovely photos that took me back to Findhorn (my little one and I loved the Family Experience week there las week) and for that fantastic music and info about it!!!! Blessings
have you seen the discussion of the book , "A New Earth" at stushie.wordpress? it is a "main idea" condensed page by page format...pretty eye opening....
could anyone tell me how much it costs to stay for a week or so for two people...it really looks amaizing! i would be greatful if somone could let me know.
The music is called Shpongle, it's a psychedelic band from the UK. The song is called Star Shpongled Banner. The band has two members: Simon Posford does all the electric sounds, the guitars and drums etc, and Raja Ram does most of the original instruments. A golden team :)
Good evening :) Yes I have seen the eco village! The last day I walked through the village a little, very nice. And yes, there were other people, that weren't 40+. I believe one girl was 25, and one guy was 24. Two more people were in their 30s. I must confess I felt quite young (I was 19 during that week). But it didn't bother me at all!
Aahh!! Wonderful, Magical Findhorn!!! I wish i was back.. I was there in the 80's - used to focalize the Cluny Hill dining room. Great pics, brought back many fond memories. The experience changed my life also. I hope to return and see some old friends who are still there. Peace....
Hello Pauloda!! I'm glad you liked the pictures. Why not go back to Findhorn? Ohhh I remember the breakfasts, lunches and dinners I had in the Cluny Dining Room... It took at least one hour to finish my meal because it was so nice and I was intensly tasting every bite!

I was a member at Newbold House for 2 years and we did not charge a set fee.....we lived in faith our needs would be met and they were.
We attuned with people and they offered what they could.
Things have no doubt changed.
I left the Foundation because I was disillusioned by its commercialism.
Christ, Buddha, Ghandi etc gave it away.....that's how it should be done.
Only the wealthy can afford Findhorn
Furthermore, they really upset the locals who could no longer afford to live there!!
