@delovelybri It's "The Balkan" because the guy is from the Balkan region of SE Europe, where the former Yugoslavia broke up into different countries in the 90's even into pretty recently. That region has been going through a tough war-filled period in its history, so his name tells where he is from, but also insinuates that the guy is very tough and experienced in killing, etc.
