iba noon..don't compare because basketball is a global sports everybody is playing. Just look at Bates, he would slam in home whenever he got the opportunity. Aside from Bates madami ding matinding imports noon like Lou Massey, Norman Black, Donnie Ray Konce (hope i got his surname right), etc.

I remember billy ray bates with portland in the early 80's. He was a high energy guy who came off the bench firing. I never knew why he disappeared from the NBA so quickly.
On January 17, 1998, Billy Ray Bates robbed a New Jersey Texaco station at knifepoint, slashing the ear of attendant Philip Kittel. He was sentenced to seven years in jail-----wikipedia

Hackett scored 103 points in 1985. But Tony Harris would break that record 7 years later by getting 105. Yeah, I remember Joe Ward, who was paired with Tommy Davis for one conference in 1988. Both were sweet-shooting imports who scored like 50 or 40 points apiece every game, hahaha. Those were the days, man.
I remember billy ray bates nuon, I was probably 7 years old when I started watching and playing bball. This guy inspired me to play basketball. and now that im in adulthood; I remember the good times i've had with friends emulating this guy. good times!
cyrus mann to me was a much better player than snake jones.also one of my favorite imports then was glenn hagan who also played for crispa and was a member of the harlem globetrotters. another import that comes to mind is former laker and ginebra import wes matthews...
My top 10 PBA imports 1. BILLY RAY BATES (CRISPA & GSM) 2. NORMAN BLACK (GREAT TASTE & SMB) 3. BOBBY PARKS (SMB) 4. TONY HARRIS (SWIFT) 5. MICHAEL HACKETT (GSM) 6. BYRON "SNAKE" JONES (CRISPA) 7. ANDY FIELDS (TOYOTA) 8. DONNIE RAY KOONCE (SMB) 9. SEAN CHAMBERS (ALASKA) 10.MICHAEL YOUNG (MANILA BEER)
Yeah, Rob Williams and Andre McKoy gave Tanduay their very first championship in '86 First Conference. Williams was starting point guard for the Denver Nuggets in the early 80's. I recently saw one of his games against Isiah Thomas and the Pistons on BTV's NBA Greatest Games.
You got it, man! I watched that game so I remember it quite vividly. In the same game, Arnie Tuadles, then playing for Ginebra, dished out 23 assists, breaking Mon Fernandez's record of 21. I don't know if Tuadles' record still stands. Parang na-break na yata, I'm not sure.
