@Timyo123 Nah. I added it in afterwards. The machine has pretty amazing audio (speakers by Klipsch + a mini subwoofer), but my cameras microphone sucks.

My Mac is Aluminum, that DELL is PLASTIC, and to make matters even worse made by Dell. Dell ha sone of the worst customer service departments of all brands related to PC. I hope all the LED Lights make you happy, and justify your purchase. I suppose thier is a reason 93% of consumers buy a PC...They CHEAP, and even CHEAPER made. Oh I forgot my complement, the light show was pretty!

I just got a m14x and I installed the AlienFX visualiser for iTunes but how do you make the colours change on all of the sections?

when I turn mine on it only does the whole thing and doesn't go to the beat. What sort of tweaking do you need to do?

For 800$ you can get a lenovo Y470 with a 550M + i3 (Sandybridge), but with the m15x for 1200 you get a 555M + i7, which is probably about a 70% increase in performance, for about 400$ more. Is that really overpriced at all?

@Harukoozt I find that misconception to be wrong anymore, as comparing my m14x to my friends DV6 Quad, mine was 100$ more but came with about 15 more features and much better build quality with all the things still maxed out pretty much (the reasonable things that is). Even the m17x isnt overprice, with the 6990 it gives about 2x the performance of a G74 (560M) for about 500$ more, plus all the extra likes Klipsch speakers, battery meter, ect. Theyre reasonable now.

Don't get me wrong, the Alienware works great, but the price you pay and the performance you get? it's just not that good compared to Asus. Check out the prices on the Asus G53SX or G74SX, the specs are great and the price is cheaper than Alienware.

Yeah, great comparison. G74 is almost as big as the M18x, costs maybe 1000$ less, but gives a quarter of the performance (single 560M vs DUAL 6990Ms)

@BlackSparkzWillFly No no no, the audio was added in seperately. My camera is terrible at audio. The M14'x audio is amazing though. If you plan on getting one, dont get the xifi software. I got it and I changed to Maxx audio that comes with the machine free and it sounds better. Was sort of a waste of 20$

Dude, how did you get it to work so well? Ive tried so many configs with the lights and just can't get results like yours. I get frequent pauses in the lights and its not really to the beat of the music like yours.

@Harshd0g I cant remember exactly how, but you have to move a .dll file that comes with your system into an iTunes folder, and then from there itll be under visualizations. Then I went into options and made my own custom lighting config

It really depends on alot of things. If you want to save the most amount of money possible, get the stock config with an i7 2630QM and 900p screen, then upgrade the RAM yourself as its 80$ for 8gb on newegg. For me though, I got a really good deal, and only thing I may do is upgrade the CPU to a 2720QM or 2820 in the future
