I once crossed "Shit River Bridge" with a bag of apples [eating one because the Marine at the gate would'nt let me leave with more than 7 in the bag] and got Stampeded by women offering me every kind of sexual act you could imagine!!!! And a couple more as well!!!...................Sure miss that place!!!!..............BTW, they were'nt lying ; )

We Marines called it "Shit River" back in 1969. We did Main Gate Guard duty next to it. It was foul smelling, to the point you could actually taste it!

Yes, back in 1978-79 when my ship was there, I used to see children swimming near under the bridge. 99% of the clubs off base had live bands and was truly interesting place to visit!
