  • Cuz the offset isnt burnt into your game you have to get your OWN offset # and sub it in for his.

  • if it doesnt work you need pkmn adv upgrade found in lesson 4

  • Maybe its not working because the offsets can differ every time you burn it.

  • Do you have a magical advance map or something? I seriously copied the whole script to the dot (plus editted the var's and unknown in AM). yet if i step on that green box it doesn't do anything. ughh... frustration! (maybe it's becuase im editting pokemon ruby, but im to lazy to figure it out!)

  • ugh so i tried your script but it didnt work..

    I used firered and the same spots and everything you did but when i hit the box

    The first text appears: Hey you!

    but then the game freezes up.. :S

    removesprite 1

    removesprite 3

    remove sprite 4

    considering your person numbers are that. Its either event or person

  • @SuperShadowMario101 pksv ui is a differnet type of script editor.a lot of commands are different.

  • @sithlizard go to the flags video (six i believe) pick a set flag for that and when you have the door locked (make an invisible person-under the movements.txt you should have downloaded in a previous episode[0x60]-) and when you script the person type check flag 0x###### (the '#'s being the number you used for the setflag) and then make it say 'removesprite #-whatever sprite the invisible one was- and that should do it. hope i helped :)

  • Hey im kinda in the dark, I need to make one exactully like the one for pro oak. You know? were he walks up and says come down here to my lad so i can give you la pokemon. Or how to insert that into a script like lesson 6 were you say you can't go on untill you get a pokemon? And then you go talk to pro oak in the lad and he'll give you a pokemon and open the path? Do you get what i mean? Thats what i would like to do. Cause i deleated the pro oak script by accident. I would like the 2nd 1 most.

  • you can make a warp script that will lead to the boat, then at the end make a warp script that will lead to the place you want to. Not sure if Foullump has Warp script tutorials though

  • Well, not exactly. I'm trying to get his exact script to be edited. Mainly, because it's a huge script used to start off the adventure, like letting you choose which Pokemon to start out with.

  • Hey! I've noticed you only showed 1 scriptbox but what about 2 or more boxes? How do you make the people move to another place then the first box? Do you have to make multiple scripts or can it be dun in 1 single script?

  • Tymo1234, this isn't hard to find. Just go to Pallet Town (On a clean rom) click on the script boxes that are north of Pallet Town, and you should see the Vars
