Mag is a better grip while sitting or hiding, and the actual grip is better while running, or thats what i think. beside half of all airsoft guns comes with a free grip. Its just nice to have both so you're always prepared.
yeah i think systema r worth the price bc like where r u gonna find a gun that u can use for feild, cqb,and sniper? if u do cqb u can just use the black cylander. for field u can use the blue, and for sniper use the red with like .40 gr bbs and itll be as accurate as the best sniper out there! OR u can just buy 10 diff guns and end up paying more
systemas are great but I think for the average airsofter they're too much in the way of detail and realism. I would rather take my G&G M4 out to the field to play than a Systema. For training in real world scenarios they're great. Whenever someone shows up at the local field with one and is showing it off I'm like really? Do you really need that? No. Do I want one? YES! I would LOVE one but they really aren't practical unless you use it for military/police training.

Hell if you've got the cash for PTW and all the crap well get a real gun lol. For the price of the systema u can get a real AR15M4+shit loads more of armo its way better. Systema cliam that they have builted a realistic I mean the replica of a real gun but my though is nothing can be compared to the real deal. @wtfeezey Its more or less a shooting stability issued. If you have used a similar setup, you'd find the grip is usefull for certain shots, ie prone, running, ect.

@wtfeezey Always use my vert grip while gaming however I've noticed that when test firing (not practice shooting but testing the gun) even i tend to grip the mag. Not sure why but everybody seems to hold the mag when somethings wrong with th gun and/or they are check what it is.
@wtfeezey Your right, I was using my friends G&G M4 CM w/ a foregrip but was holding my the mag well. For sustained fire or fire on the run, the foregrip is good, but for stable shots test firing i don't use it.

In terms of realism, you can't get better than a PTW but personally I would rather customize a TM compatible gun. PTW gearboxes just can't perform to the extreme levels that TM compatible gearboxes can. PTWs are ultra-realistic but I know a tech that runs regular gearboxes at 700 FPS, 30 RPS. It simply can't be done in a PTW. It really is a choice between ultra-realism or performance extremes.... Anyway, this is in no offense to anyone, some like the PTWs, some don't....
These guns are so worth it. I used one of the guys I airsoft withs gun. He has 3 lol. Anyways, I way one shotting people forem 60 yards. Also the trigger response if just insane. But if you can't afford one, like me, Classic Armys are just as good. A guy on the Airsoft forums sold his Ptw for a Classic and said it does just as good only it doesn't say Systema on the side. AirsoftHawaii09, are you going to look into a PEQ15, it would look so beast on your gun.
The price tag on Systemas make them a total joke, $1500 is overpriced for a real m4. Nice gun, no use saying it isn't. Yes it's realistic, gbb m4 wasn't availabe yet in '08, I get that you can't shoot another person with a real m4 (not legally in most cases anyways) but many hundreds of dollars more from the nearest high end aeg just for the added realism?
i think its funny when a guy with a systema gets owned by a guy with a JG. infact i saw a guy running around with his m4, and i didnt even notice it was a systema til he came up close and told me.. in my opinion its not worth the money. get a good quality CA,TM,KWA, or if you know how to work on guns yourself build a good china gun(upgrades etc.) and they can shoot BBs at people just like a systema can.

I am actually stoked about Magpul putting out their Masada and will end up picking up one of those. I am going to be placing an order for the real ACR as well and then will retire my PTW and run Magpul PTS Masada for training and ACR for live fire. I am going to wait for all the ACR hype to go down and then place an order.
I have many real guns including 2 AR15's in addition to the this PTW. My one AR is setup like my PTW so I can train in games and out of games throughout the week. I do lots of live fire training couple times a month as well which the PTW helps with. I am using a custom 9.6v 2200mah Nimh to give me real fire rate between 700-950RPM 11-15RPS. PTW is not the end all be all gun but its the gun for me. Can't compare any other AEG to the PTW or vise versa there are too many pros and cons to all AEGs.
Why do people always assume their cheap ass guns that fire 25rps think they're hot shit?
Being able to hose people without skill is NOT what this sport and hobby is about. This is exactly the reason why we don't play paintball. It's about realism, not about putting as many BBs down range as possible. Use some skill instead of spray to hit your targets.

High rof provides a tactical advantage. We can not only keep people pinned down and offer supporting fire, but a high rof gun will scare the shit out of any normal person and make them not want to charge at you. In my experience, anyway.
I do prefer accuracy to high ROF though. Lucky for us in airsoft, you can have both, like me.

Systemas just SOUND so clean. Whenever I hear that almost squeaky, fast sound in place of the normal motor sounds, I know right away I'm hearing a PTW. They make me drool!
this gun is a piece.. for the amount of money. i have a kwa m16 . i put about 375 $ into my setup. it shoots 440 fps 29 rps. my gun is wayyy better than this gun and less than half the price
systemas arent made for airsoft wars they r made for training cops in sytema you pay for real steal realism and great performance. ur KWA may perform better but its nowhere near as realistic as this.

acually, these guns are worth the price tag, you may be able to upgrade a gun for cheaper but it will still not perform as good, be as accurate, and be as reliable as a systema. and plus the systema has better external quality, and its the real size and weight of the real one. so... it is totally worth it
@fabmeo systema aren't as godly and reliable as people think. I watched 2 break down in the same game once... and many people that have them don't like them becuase they really aren't worth the extra money. I have made my CA G36 as relialbe or better than these PTWs and I bet it out performes them too. NTM, I have spend about half the money of a PTW.

@fabmeo You realise that you can get a truckload of parts for your gun for the price of a Systema gun, so even if the individual parts doesn't last as long, the gun will have a longer lifespan because you can have 10 spares of everything.

That being said, I personally will never own a PTW. I have had AEGs that have been worth more than a PTW, and outshot them. The reason I said that I've "had" AEGs is because I don't own an AEG for field use anymore; I got them converted to the PolarStar system.

in short no, alot of the price tag is bragging rights, and dont get me wrong systema's are really nice guns and they are built solid, however you can get better performance from buying a lower end gun and upgrading, this way you get a better performing gun and you dont fork out as much as you would for a systema, hope this helps man.
i don't like systema. the stock performance is not as good as a good tuned M4. (i have a G&P M4 SPecial Forces II tuned up). I compared it with 5 or 6 Systemas, my G&P were on every test the better one. (sry my English is not the best^^)
First of all, out of the box they shoot hot at about 550 FPS. To change the FPS costs about 180 dollars just for a new cylinder. They are known to break down, the mags are very expensive, and they are most definitely not the best airsoft gun just because they have High FPS and Decent ROF and cost a lot of money. All this can be achieved through buying a decent base gun (G&P, VFC ETC) and upgrading it for half the price.
Of course i wouldn´t spend all that money in an airsoft, just because of the velocity, but surely because of the realism, their high performance and the quality. And besides many airsoft rifle´s lifetime is reduced if they´re upgradet with new springs and etc. But Systema is made for that, and if you tune a "standard" airsoft rifle the insurence policy discharges.. However it won´t on the systemas, as it speaks for it self.. Anyways im just interested to try out some new stuff..

Their high quality and preformance can also be acheived through a Active Breaking MOSFET, Higher mAh and Voltage batter, new spring, gears, motor, and spring guide.

I think what catched me most was that it almoust functioned as the real thing. And i guess that´s what i wanted most. I was thinking about getting the Inokatsu M4 GBBR as well. I would not consider any other GBBR though. The Inokatsu is much more reliable than the other GBBR's because it is made of Steel, get that setup with an NPAS Bolt Carrier, and you should be set. Although, there is a chance the Inokatsu could be confiscated by customs, unless you can order one through a US based shop or ask them to stock it.
Okay. But i think there should be no problem about ordering, since im from Denmark, and im buying from redwolf, that´s english. So theres no trading outside Europe. But a new bolt is quite expencive to. And another question. Those GBB mags, cost like 105 dollars if the bolt catch should function, wich is pretty expencive, couldn´t there be any cheaper, or wouldn´t that work with inukatso?
Redwolfairsoft ships from Hong Kong. The NPAS Bolt Carrier is $260 dollars, and allows you to adjust the FPS to make it field legal, and will also improve reliability. Not too sure about the magazines, but you can look on forums and some people sell them used for 30 - 50 shipped. It just depends on what magazine will work with the Inokatsu.

I am actually stoked about Magpul putting out their Masada and will end up picking up one of those. I am going to be placing an order for the real ACR as well and then will retire my PTW and run Magpul PTS Masada for training and ACR for live fire. I am going to wait for all the ACR hype to go down and then place an order.

I have many real guns including 2 AR15's in addition to the this PTW. My one AR is setup like my PTW so I can train in games and out of games throughout the week. I do lots of live fire training couple times a month as well which the PTW helps with. I am using a custom 9.6v 2200mah Nimh to give me real fire rate between 700-950RPM 11-15RPS. PTW is not the end all be all gun but its the gun for me. Can't compare any other AEG to the PTW or vise versa there are too many pros and cons to all AEGs.

Why do people always assume their cheap ass guns that fire 25rps think they're hot shit?
Being able to hose people without skill is NOT what this sport and hobby is about. This is exactly the reason why we don't play paintball. It's about realism, not about putting as many BBs down range as possible. Use some skill instead of spray to hit your targets.
BTW, nice gun mate. Wish I had the dough for one of those.

High rof provides a tactical advantage. We can not only keep people pinned down and offer supporting fire, but a high rof gun will scare the shit out of any normal person and make them not want to charge at you. In my experience, anyway.
I do prefer accuracy to high ROF though. Lucky for us in airsoft, you can have both, like me.

Systemas just SOUND so clean. Whenever I hear that almost squeaky, fast sound in place of the normal motor sounds, I know right away I'm hearing a PTW. They make me drool!

this gun is a piece.. for the amount of money. i have a kwa m16 . i put about 375 $ into my setup. it shoots 440 fps 29 rps. my gun is wayyy better than this gun and less than half the price

systemas arent made for airsoft wars they r made for training cops in sytema you pay for real steal realism and great performance. ur KWA may perform better but its nowhere near as realistic as this.

acually, these guns are worth the price tag, you may be able to upgrade a gun for cheaper but it will still not perform as good, be as accurate, and be as reliable as a systema. and plus the systema has better external quality, and its the real size and weight of the real one. so... it is totally worth it

I watched 2 break down in the same game once... and many people that have them don't like them becuase they really aren't worth the extra money. I have made my CA G36 as relialbe or better than these PTWs and I bet it out performes them too. NTM, I have spend about half the money of a PTW.

@fabmeo :still wont be as accurate? how is a systema magically more accurate than a fully upgraded lowerpriced gun. build another gun right with a good tightbore and a well built gearbox and it can be more accurate and outrange a systema. yeah systemas are kick ass guns but owning one doesnt earn you an upperhand in an airsoft battle with other experienced players running with lower priced airsoft guns.

@fabmeo You realise that you can get a truckload of parts for your gun for the price of a Systema gun, so even if the individual parts doesn't last as long, the gun will have a longer lifespan because you can have 10 spares of everything.
Realism is kinda irrelevant for me, and i like to tinker with the gearbox, so even less reason for me to buy one.
I don't mean to quarrel or flame you, i just wanna share my opinion here. :)

That being said, I personally will never own a PTW. I have had AEGs that have been worth more than a PTW, and outshot them. The reason I said that I've "had" AEGs is because I don't own an AEG for field use anymore; I got them converted to the PolarStar system.

in short no, alot of the price tag is bragging rights, and dont get me wrong systema's are really nice guns and they are built solid, however you can get better performance from buying a lower end gun and upgrading, this way you get a better performing gun and you dont fork out as much as you would for a systema, hope this helps man.

i don't like systema. the stock performance is not as good as a good tuned M4. (i have a G&P M4 SPecial Forces II tuned up). I compared it with 5 or 6 Systemas, my G&P were on every test the better one. (sry my English is not the best^^)

First of all, out of the box they shoot hot at about 550 FPS. To change the FPS costs about 180 dollars just for a new cylinder. They are known to break down, the mags are very expensive, and they are most definitely not the best airsoft gun just because they have High FPS and Decent ROF and cost a lot of money. All this can be achieved through buying a decent base gun (G&P, VFC ETC) and upgrading it for half the price.

Of course i wouldn´t spend all that money in an airsoft, just because of the velocity, but surely because of the realism, their high performance and the quality. And besides many airsoft rifle´s lifetime is reduced if they´re upgradet with new springs and etc. But Systema is made for that, and if you tune a "standard" airsoft rifle the insurence policy discharges.. However it won´t on the systemas, as it speaks for it self.. Anyways im just interested to try out some new stuff..

Their high quality and preformance can also be acheived through a Active Breaking MOSFET, Higher mAh and Voltage batter, new spring, gears, motor, and spring guide.

May be true.. But i havent heard any complainings about this gun before now. And i was having a mind for buying it. But im kinda stuck now, cause of the negative charges that´s been said. I think what catched me most was that it almoust functioned as the real thing. And i guess that´s what i wanted most. But i´ve also been looking at the gas bb m4 inokatsu sopmod, wich kinda seems most reasonable. However that mags are pretty expensive. Got a good suggestion anyways?

I was thinking about getting the Inokatsu M4 GBBR as well. I would not consider any other GBBR though. The Inokatsu is much more reliable than the other GBBR's because it is made of Steel, get that setup with an NPAS Bolt Carrier, and you should be set. Although, there is a chance the Inokatsu could be confiscated by customs, unless you can order one through a US based shop or ask them to stock it.

But a new bolt is quite expencive to. And another question. Those GBB mags, cost like 105 dollars if the bolt catch should function, wich is pretty expencive, couldn´t there be any cheaper, or wouldn´t that work with inukatso?

Redwolfairsoft ships from Hong Kong. The NPAS Bolt Carrier is $260 dollars, and allows you to adjust the FPS to make it field legal, and will also improve reliability. Not too sure about the magazines, but you can look on forums and some people sell them used for 30 - 50 shipped. It just depends on what magazine will work with the Inokatsu.
