  • Nicks killed the band !!! pure and simple but that`s just what I`m thinking!!!

  • Too bad the video doesn't show more of Peter actually playing.

  • Seems like this song is in the key of Dm,the video looks like its from a different song.

The song sounds GREAT.all my Brothers were playing great and in the moment.

    Every night is different.

  • So great!!

  • Give me Peter Green EVERY DAY over any other player ... this man knew things no one has even dreamed about. Blues oozed from his pores and every lick is perfect. This song was one of my favorites then and still is. Peter Green is the Master Musician. He's forgotten more than anyone else has ever known about writing and playing. And looked so good.

  • A corazon espinado ...ma và a c.......re!!!!!

  • I hope people realize the video does not go with the song. Not even close

  • @jjaywill yeah , its annoying

  • @avlisk Bob Welch??? Really???

  • @chocolatebicycle Peter's Les Paul had a very distinctive tone for this reason: The neck pickup was installed upside down, making the magnetic fields between the two pickup create an out-of-phase, hollow tone.

  • Incredible video. We know about Peter Green, but I for one had no idea Danny Kirwan was tearing up stages with his Les Paul soloing. Why don't we hear more about him?

  • What bugs me about these old videos is the camera people have no idea who's playing the lead parts

  • I saw this 1970 show when it was in Seattle.

The entire concert was this good.

    Both sets, it was intense.

Black Magic woman was off and old album by then.

The new album had "Oh Well" and the second set started with that.

"Searching for Madge" was a really long jam.

The little guy that plays slide guitar or keyboards did an Elvis imitation with too much microphone cable as a gag. Peter pointed at him and yelled, "Put the spot light over there."

  • No wonder that Les Paul of Peter Green's was highly sort after! Some tone coming from it. I know Gary Moore was the proud owner, I wonder where it is now?

  • Peter Green wrote this song.

  • Nobody has more soul than Carlos Santana. And if Peter green wanted to respond to that, he shouldn't have been a lush. Bruce is a front man, not an instrumentalist. I never cared for his stuff much. You have to see Lindsey to appreciate all the sounds he makes come from that guitar, all by himself with no effects, pedals, or overdub.

  • Stevie kicked Mc Vies ass, and i have heard very few guitarists including Peter green, who can top Lindsey Buckingham. He takes the place of two musicians. I saw both versions of the band. The latter was the better..Listen to Buckingham nicks id you disagree, no double tracking, Buckingham did it all in one take, he was amazing., and still is.

  • of what happend, of course, see below.

  • Useless discussions, when you like a song you like it, regardless of what happenened afterwards. This is a fine performance!

  • There is no "real" Fleetwood Mac......they are what they are at any given point in their long illustrious career....a classic multi talented....multi faceted group of musicians. As far as Stevie drowning out Christine...well Christine herself has said how much she appreciated having another woman in the band and how she appreciates Stevie's talent.

  • true magic

  • robertmacissac Lindsay Buckingham? Lindsay Buckingham was a relative latecomer in this band's history. This video here has the original Peter Green singing and riffing back and forth with Danny Kirwin on the other guitar.John McVie on Bass and Mick Fleetwood on drums.

This is the real Fleetwood Mac. At this point Christine McVie was playing with Chicken Shack. Lindsay Buckingham was somewhere in the US. This was 2 years before he and Stevie Nicks recorded their first demos as Buckingham Nicks.

  • Carlos Santana's version will never come close. Santana's version lacks passion, depth and meaning. Peter Greens playing will always hit a spot some others couldn't.

  • Hey SRVO3101954 Happy time is over. Don't know what planet your are from. But just log on to you tube stupid and you will know who CARLOS SANTANA is

  • The era of the 2 Bobs was my favorite Mac, but this is amazingly great and deserves to be at the top of some list, somewhere. I've had the album for years, but never seen the video. Thanks.

  • this is kick ass. peter green is so good. carlos santana mirly covered this. who knw? can you imagine writing such a industry standard. these guys are true legends. thank you

  • これ、絵はめただけだね。

  • Peter Green, THE REAL GENIUS behind Fleetwood Mac. The reason for Fleetwood Mac. What a musician and song writer. No one compares! This is the REAL Fleetwood Mac - PETER GREEN!!! Keep it real. Thanks for posting this incredible live set.

  • Bare Trees is the finest album Fleetwood Mac put out bar none

  • What a difference. From the man who made this song famous CARLOS SANTANA.

  • @robj1men this isn't santana, man. it's fleetwood mac.

  • @fmilktoast I heard Greens version. put 2-2 together. thats a no brainer. Carlos made the song famous. Green had his chance. Just let the song be remembered for the song who made it famous Sir Carlos Santana.

  • @robj1men Are you kidding?! I'd take Peter Green's original over Santana's cover any day! Don't get me wrong, I do like Santana's version, but it lacks the grit and passion Green's original has (that's right, latin rhythms can't always simulate real passion). And if we remember the song by the man who made it famous (in this case Santana) then it's only fair to remember that a huge part of Santana's playing was inspired by Peter Green, the man who should be more famous.

  • @RobPic914 Ha Ha I have been going threw this issue with many people. But why don't the whole world agree with you.Long live SANTANA'S VERSION.

  • @robj1men just cause santana's version is more popular dont mean its better than greens. Popularity does not = the best quality. Besides, if it wasnt for green, santana wouldnt have one of his more known hits, period. As far as which version is better, is all a matter of personal preference. You like santana's version more, i personally like green's a little more (especially the live in boston version). Both of us speak for ourselves and not the entire world on which version is better.

  • @yugang08 well said

  • @RobPic914 “I was listening to Peter Green, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis. Peter Green for his legato tones“. - Carlos Santana

  • @RobPic914 As a matter of fact, even the bongo players(the idea) santana got from peter green after he left fleetwood mac due to madness.

  • @robj1men Green had his chance?????? ...?????????? Excuse me , but the guy wrote this song and btw .Who the fuck is this Santana guy anyways i never heard of him

  • there is as much the internet thingy that is lovely and i am as delighted to hear this song on the internet as i was when i heard this album when i was a youngin ~

  • This is the first time I've seen early Fleetwood Mac together like this playing Black Magic Woman. *****EXCELLENT***** Thanks for posting the video.

  • Superb

  • Awesome stuff

  • I had never heard of peter Green-I always thought L buckingham was the original guitarst-Mr Green -fantastic-i thought santana wrote this-Thanks for posting and thanks for YouTube and thanks for this computer!

  • tone

  • HUH?!

  • Not so much wimpy, just not up to my Fleetwood Mac standards. Christine McVie sings quite nicely, thanx, I am a Peter Green fan, and feel that Buckingham/nicks diluted the music...

  • i do think the guitarman on this track is Peter Green, one of the best blues guitars ever...

  • Back when music was real, mistakes and all. None of this autotune psychoacoustics digitally enhanced post processed over dubbed crap. Good Stuff man!

  • everyone knows who's best ,,,don't bother with the list other make,,,make your own...it's best,,,

  • This is great

  • Santana version is nice, but this is really POWERFUL! <3

  • santana version is amazing

  • a shame peter went out the music business, he woul'd ve been bigger than clapton

  • @bruncen yeeah and they both learnt abot musik , when they played with john mayal and the bluesbreakers

  • Most people don't know that this song wasn't done by Santana , the original black magic woman was done by peter green. Brilliant guitar work, what an under-rated player Peter Green was, he's singing and he makes the guitar is perfect! Santana said the song is perfect the way it is and played it note for note... How can we call it a Succes?

  • it is to vids...but who's counting green is my man!

  • Nice editing film to music, gives me the idea to do this too next year... stand by!

  • Video is from another song.

  • Turns Epic right around 3:30

  • There's a remote chance that Peter Green had heard Otis Rush.

  • Lindsey Buckingham!? What does HE have to do with 'real' Fleetwood music? Once Peter left, the band became something else, with the wimpy singing of Stevie Nicks drowning out Christine McVie . Get real, robertmacisac....

  • @NormanLake1 Buckingham and Nicks only made fantastic music, apples and oranges mate.

  • @NormanLake1 Stevie Nicks is a wimpy singer? I beg to differ!

  • @NormanLake1

who da fuck is lindsey buckingham

  • its based upon popularity they want to make things bigger so then they can spend less time actually finding musicians with skill

why should they care there just money seeking vampires sucking the blood out of people who want to be "big" or "famous"

  • Rolling Stone mag are musical idiots.

  • Lástima que tengo que esperar para escucharlo porque el lenta mi banda ancha, pero la voy a ver.

  • Fantastico, es muy bueno

  • Rolling Stone just voted Bruce Sprigsteen and John Lennon ahead of Lindsay Buckingham on their top 100 list of best guitar players! Kurt Cobain also! How many times have we heard Bruce play lead? Man they diiscredit themselves with this crap!

  • @robertmacisaac Lindsey Buckingham? what? LOL.

  • @robertmacisaac @robertmacisaac Bruce springsteen used to rip it up!

  • @robertmacisaac

Couldn't care less whats on someone elses top 100, don't need no opinionated list to tell me what feels good.

  • @robertmacisaac thats why i don;t like rolling stone there are a couple of other guitarests i thought should have been on there including lindsay, peter, Ace Frehley, Mick Mars and there are more

  • @robertmacisaac this isnt lindsey buckinham, its peter green......

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • @tspnyc

    Danny Kirwan.

    You fail thus far...

  • Who is playing lead guitar on the Les Paul? Jeremy Spencer never had straight, blond hair as far as I know.

  • @tspnyc jeremy never played with the others, unless it was on the piano, just doing his elmore thing

  • @tspnyc Danny Kirwan, he was so good but these days forgotten

  • wow

  • They way it should be done!

  • sooooooo good.

  • Besides Peter Green writing a great song and playing it beautifully, I think the backline (Mick Fleetwood - drums and John McVie - bass) played great and their contribution should be credited towards this song's success. Mick and John's styles have been copied on the covers of this song as much as Peter Green has been copied. It was only a year or 2 earlier that John McVie backed up another great blues guitarist (Eric Clapton), when John was the bass player for John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

  • Wow I didn't know they wrote this. Sweet.

  • that's the video from "like it this way"...

  • EPIC ¡¡

  • @rickjpmv

    EPIC & MAGIC
