I just had a knock on my door... an Ohio State Partolman serving a subpoena to appear in court regarding a motorist - who was on his cellphone - driving through my red lights. Not sure how this guy will fare, but in the past, first offense fines hover around $500 and MANY points on drivers licenses. Think folks... yellow does not mean 'go faster' and red is not a suggestion.
Also, I have logged around a half a million miles on commercial vehicles with NO WRECKS OR TICKETS. Keep in mind, I am not advocating - by any means - use of cell phones on buses by the driver OR THE STUDENTS. If phone is warranted, drivers should simply pull over (as EVERYONE should do - not just bus/truck drivers). Lay off the bus drivers! THeir jobs are hard enough (think about... 80 screaming kids behind you... manuvering a 30,000 lb vehicle... other drivers darting in and around them...).

When I drove a school bus, other motorists would run my lights DAILY. I have been to court countless times when these people were cited.

She took that corner with a cup in her hand like a champ stayed in her lane to. The guy leaning on the steering wheel was resting slow traffic. Most of the drivers were making there calls at stop lights.
