Good videa. A yard or more clearance is needed on any side that has a side cap. We can usually bend a charged hose without kinking it at about 1 ft per inch of diameter; that is a charged 8 inch hose can bend about an 8 foot loop. If the snow is soft, the charged hose will force the snow (or body) out of the way, but if it is hard packed, or ice, it can kink and limit flow, or even damage the hose. We had a firefighter sprain a knee when the line straightened and slammed him into the bank.
