What is the "C" bit at the base for Scott? ps: I pm'd you a short while ago asking advice about a knife I'd seen. Never got a reply, guessing you were too busy..?
@bikenutter1 hi there..the Asda knife..yes.. I haven't got to Frome to see yet,,but I'll try to view online as soon as my laptop is done dying with a flawed antivirus that won't activate or something..the "C" shape is a choil or finger groove,,it allows a more forward grip when doing delicate tasks. and the lower section acts a s a guard..I hope that helps!

hi there,,I turn them and either use a parting tool or a skew to get most of the way through,,then I use a saw.and sand by hand,,eventually I'll part nearly all the way through..but the new lathe thing I have a very crude so a vibes a little,,better to go easy than have the work piece fly off..all the best!
