@avanro7101 Hi I just bought some silver american eagles 1986 and I noticed that my coins don't have the mint sign under the olive branch. Just wondering why.
Touching them won't devalue them. People seal them to prevent tarnishing, which is really only an aesthetic problem.
It doesn't undermine the price value unless you detarnish it with an abrasive rather than with electrolysis. The latter merely reverses the oxidation reaction of the silver in the coin, so doesn't change the intrinsic silver content.
Just bought one for $57 lol. And the value of it Is $1 constitutional it's just we print so much money it takes $50 fiats to buy one. I'm gonna load up on silver now and sell at $200
This Coins was cheap in 1990-till 2003 and today ? And look to the future !? He ,man buy Silvercoins ore Goldcoins ,you can save money ! Grüsse aus Deutschland !!!
Touching the coin will not ruin the intrinsic silvervalue of this coin, but it will only ruin the numismatic value of this coin when you have a proof minted coin.
But as silver investment it doesn't matter if you touch it or not.
Well dude, for a troy ounce of silver in the USA (1 troy ounce = about 31 grams ) that's less then $14 on the market for just the silver, i don't just the silver on that is more then what it's supposed to be. . . But the coin itself will probably be that much
It will melt well!

If it's a proof, don't even touch it with the towel. Leave it in it's plastic case. If it's bullion, then who cares. Touch it all you like.

Britannias are much more attractive, but sadly they're only 958 purity.

Looks really nice. My 2010 Silver Eagle coins look hideous in comparison, they're scratched to buggery. I must have been ggiven circulated coins.

ha thanks guys. i had really never purchased coins before, so i didn't know the customs/courtesies that went along with them.

lol touching it won't ruin the value, it's not like your magically taking the silver content away from it.

feel free to fondle it with your bare hand there are millions of these coins dont worry about keeping it in such un touchable shape.
