Can someone please explain the proportions of angle of relief, speed of turning, rate of material removal, and hardness of material, also temperature of cutter and material being cut? Is carbide always better? Is faster always better? How do I know that the cutter will not grab? Will the cutter break? Or could I damage the machine? Isn't it important to hold the cutter at precise angles when sharpeing? Holding by hand may give a small radius on the face of the cutter. Thanks.

@daviddevall depends of the material..but on my machine i dont know how it is called in english it last about one shift.
gale031 1 year ago
@daviddevall depends on the material, operator, speeds and feeds, type of cutting tool, depth of cut etc, etc.
