You look wonderful!!! Thanks, but I will past, I learned a lot from Cathy Howse, who gets no credit, tired of hearing basically the same thing. I will just stick to u tube with caution. If you are foolish a person can go broke with all of the recommendations. The tried and true works for me!
Ugh, yes, people need to STOP depending on hair stylists!! I'm not saying all hair stylist don't care, but some are in it for the money only, and even if they're not, you are only one out of their many clients. Don't expect them to keep up with your PERSONAL hair care. They also need to be wise about hair, know the structure, the type, about moisture, porosity, layers of hair. Another thign, don't try to style unhealthy hair!! Black ladies, LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN HAIR!
Thank Megz. I am going to get this book. I agree, it's all about patience and TLC to your hair by you. Same goes for your entire body, inside and out.
I would like to know who are the asses that click DISLIKE on videos like this. What Meg is saying in this video is the TRUE. Obviously these people are haters and maybe mad because their hair is a mess. Meg is only here to help and she's very informative.
@carabrown2009 The reason - ignorance is bliss in their world! Leave them let them stay 'blissful'!! I am very glad that Megan and others share their information for free with all of us! I have gained a wealth of knowledge! I appreciate these ladies very much and thank them from the bottom of my heart. Megan herself began her hair journey about 3 years ago, and credited her information gain to Traycee, so now she is just giving back. The haters will not stop her from doing what she does!
Fanatic709, question...are you Ashley? Because Ashely mocks Megz subbies who sometimes ask repeated questions or etc, like for the past 2 months almost subbies have been posting messages asking when is she going to do the review for the book, and I thought you were going to do the review posts, your comment reminded me of a few videos Megz has with Ashley saying exactly what you said, but Megz...., I'm not sure if indirectly it's a response to posts about that and not liking her method of revie
@SuperFashionista09 my sister had short air to her ear, and she started wearing mirco braids and small box braids for 2 years straight. All she did was wash them ever two weeks and put a moisturizer in her hair and made ssure EVERY night to put a satin wrap over her braids. She did this for 2 years and one day she relaxed her hair and got her split ends trimmed at a salon and bam..... her hair went from ear length to slightly longer than megan's hair. Try this method
@CandiiLuver1 I am EXACTLY like you. my mom doesn't understand why i'm always buying hair products ! sometimes she stops me , she says it makes no sense why i invest in so many hair products. It doesn't help any more that my hair is really thick and i have to use more than others.
I agree i use 2 feel like my salon stylist must only take care of my hair. But i feel like the stylists forces that thought on people. When i go 2 the stylist they always make it clear that i must go every 2 weeks or even every week & get all the treatments that they have . But once I found hairlista i stopped going 2 the salon and started taking care of my hair myself. I now go 2 the salon maybe every 3-6 months... but i am the person that aids 2 growing my hair not anyone else!
See, the problem with me is, I'm 14 and want healthier and longer hair. I've watched hundreds (literally) of videos about taking care of your hair. But I just don't have the money to buy all these products. And my family is struggling like it is so I don't want to constantly ask for hair products. What should I do ? Please like so she can see. I would highly appreciate it. :)
@CandiiLuver1 It's not really about the products, just mainly the regimen. Make sure you wash and condition once every week or every other week if you want to save product. Or you can dilute your shampoo with water to make it stretch. Also moisturize and seal with oil every day. But most of all PROTECT YOUR ENDS WITH PROTECTIVE STYLES. Okay that's just my 2 cents :-)
@CandiiLuver1 I suggest natural/home remedy products. E.g. olive oil for sealing/treatment, eggs for protein, honey for moisturizing deep condition etc. And save up for the essential products like a good moisturizer.
@MiszCandiiLadii Well obviously use what you've got, and from experience and from other people on hair journeys, natural remedies are often much more effective than processed products. In any case its the cheapest solution you're going to get unless you're asking Meg for free handouts.
@CandiiLuver1 Do the basics...wear protective styles. Megan and other youtubers have a lot of vids on that. And create your own home remedies and recipes (conditioners, protein treatments, moisturizers) using every day food products. Do research on the internet and you'll find a lot of simple home recipes for hair care. Simple things like changing the scarf you wear (satin or silk only!) and not using heat will protect your hair causing it to stay healthy and grow!! Stay consistent! :)
@CandiiLuver1 I totally agree with you! Its impossible for me to keep buying all these products everyone keeps talking about, i'm struggling with finances too. Its much easier to use home remedies with basic foods, that's helped me alot with deep conditioning and stuff (like using a egg for a protein treatment for example). And since i live in UK its soo hard to purchase certain products because of the rediculous shipping costs. I hope your situation gets better :)
@CandiiLuver1 Hey there, I read your story and I thought I could share some inexpensive tips that you could possibly use if they are available in your household.
@CandiiLuver1 I have the same problem as you I just brought lil amount of products like for example buy like the (important things) moisturizer, shampoo, conditioners:) then when you do have more money you can buy more stuff like hair oils etc.
@CandiiLuver1 best thinl to do use natural products i had the same problem i had hair past my shoulder and now it a 4 inch afro haha its growing so well since ive stopped use ing pre bottled afro hair products go to the supermarket coconut oil extra virgin mango oil evrything :)
@CandiiLuver1 You do not need to have lots of money to have long, healthy hair! Most items for your hair journey are already in your kitchen--and V05 conditioner can be picked up on sale for even less than a dollar! When I first started my hair journey, I didn't even buy anything new, just worked with what I had.
@CandiiLuver1 Hey girl I feel the very same way...so what might help is if you could find sales or coupons for the things you want to buy. My mom felt alot better about buying something if there was a coupon. haha its pretty lame but it is the truth.
@CandiiLuver1 Check out UrbanBushBabes here on YouTube. They have sooo many cheapy homemade concoctions that you can probably find in your kitchen cabinet! :o)
You are a beautiful yourng woman. I am 63years was not happy with my hair, flaky scalp, stiff hair. I thought something was wrong. I did not want to pay $70. for a relaxer and then $10 for a conditioner so I would go way to long before getting my hair done. Sheading so much I began to worry. Found you and realized I can take good care of my hair. Love your videos. It is up to me to love my unique black/grey hair thanks to you
@danimos3 I agree with you completely...but at the same time better late than never right? What's going to be more rewarding is that now the stereotypes of african american hair what it "can and cant do" is now proven to be false.
Amen sista!!! lol I'm so glad that you are taking the time out to explain the chapters for your subscribers....your really into this hair thing maybe you should offer consultation...of course for a price..lol
i find it really sad that there are soo many black people that dont know how to take care of there hair and believe all of these myths that our hair just isnt ment to be long, we cant use "white hair product", you need to grease your scalp and that we only need to wash our hair once a month, etc... and i find it even sadder that to grow our hair we have to do all this research, when it really should be common knowledge
i am new to your channel, and my healthy hair journey, ppl may think im crazy but i just dont believe everyone can grow long hair. i notice that a lot of women on youtube that have this really long hair, have always had at least shoulder length hair, i also noticed ur twin has long hair,is it a possibilty that hair is inherited through the gene pool??? i dont know, but i damn sure will give it a try. i want to prove myself wrong lol!!!
I've just been watching you for like a year and within that time your make up and overall beauty has blossomed even more! Just wanted to put you on notice that I've noticed; -) keep it up!
I purchased this book as soon as I saw it released and read the entire thing within 1-2 days. It is VERY in-depth and provides extensive knowledge into Black hair care, it makes you see differently about how to care for your hair and provides a deep understanding as to hair structure, styling, tools, products, regimen etc. I recommend it. It's excellent for both beginners, experts and those already on their hair journeys (^_^)
this book sounds really interesting. i agree with the patience aspect. i stopped looking for a miracle product to grow my hair overnight and started taking responsibility for my own growth process. 2 years later i'm at my 1st hair goal and on to the next one.
Loved the video, the hair and makeup. Thanks for talking about other hair related topics. Sometimes we need knowledge and not just another hairstyle video. Knowledge is power. Plus, has anyone told you you look like Shanice, the r&b singer.
