@geoffck6969 Yea I should of filmed walking through the door, when you walk in the front door its just one small room with a big steel door at the end of the room about 4 meters away, you walk through that and you are in the main tunnel that leads you to the bunker. ( thanks for your comments )

Read about this in some book called 'beneath the city streets', apparently there's one in the old boxhill tunnel as well, i bet we still have them but now they'd have to be under scafell pike or snowdonia or mournes to be secure, we don't get any info from gov't about being secure in case of nuke attack but there are still countries might attack us with nukes, do you have to be a civil servant now to stand a chance or are these things so big now that there is no chance?

@Filmerfilms LOL - I am a German student, and although we do have Civil Defense (not nearly to the extent of Switzerland), we really do not make a deal of it, and obviously in a country like Israel with its many enemies, they go through normal drills and live through the real thing as well. I remember hearing some of the sirens in America, and was curious as to why no one seemed to be noticing, so I asked our professor, and explained that they use them for severe weather. We both LOL-ed at that

I live a mile from this bunker and visit it quite a lot to see what they've added. We used to drive past it when it was still operational (it wasn't that well kept a secret!). The main entrance used to be in Kelvedon Hall Lane, the next road down from the entrance they now use, and there always used to be a cop car and an army vehicle there. When it 1st opened to the public, it was virtually empty and, imo, a lot more atmospheric.
