@burtonkid0012 Im playing in a half step down in Drop Ab, but I tune to F# in another song that i did, and the tension feels fine in both. I usually get thicker strings for my 7 when playing in alternate tunings.

Are you EQing your guitar in Nuendo? If so, how are you doing it? I can never seem to get that really gritty djent, djent. And the song is pretty decent until 2:03. Then it just kicks ass.

@BeDiminished Im just using some patches i made with my POD X3, the backing guitar tracks have a slight emphasis with the mids, but that is about all the EQing i did in this video.

Just put a boost on your mids and turn down your treble and presence so they don't exceed your mid level, with some low end to put emphasis on the chugg parts.

@m00k I was trying to replicate Guthrie Govan's tone with a patch i made, i used a blend with the JCM 900 and Connor SD amp preset and just did a little tweaking, added some reverb and through on a sine chorus. I'll try to figure out how to upload it to the POD custom tone website

@bouvre Thanks! I've been able to get an approximate sound using a chorus plug-in in Logic. I've always wondered what that effect was. I used to have a chorus pedal but it never got that subtle 80s modulation, so it never occurred to me that it was a chorus.
