As the squatter gets out of the hole, more chain is pulled off the ground and starts hanging, adding weight to the bar as the rep finishes. Helps teach explosiveness through feel.
i think its something to do with how the weight is distributed on the bar if that makes sense. its not just a constant force, for example when he goes lower some of the chain is on the ground so its lighter and will get harder as he goes higher. if you bothered reading all of that babble, hope it helps, lol
