What on earth is XGViper2gamer on about :S im pretty sure Atc's are on huge amounts of money! Long hours maybe but a bloody good wage, plus im sure in civilian airports they only work 2 hours then have a 1/2 hour break! Retard!

None rewarding job. The job sucks. Even 2 hours is not general aviation. Nobody seems to care. And I myself don't see the motivation here. More so the job sucks and don't pay enough. You said huge amounts thats a lie and I will take my money elswhere. Let me remind you that ther is no money comeing in. If thats the case then it's a waiste of my expense. You just ask how much LIMON money is in the aviation and how i don't sign no document that says I'm a nig.

Glad I'm not a Traffic Controler. Long hours 45 to 60 a week and Heavy stress. Like educated like Bill Gates and paid like DishWasher. Kids that can't stay in school. Pension like a BusBoy some Day. Yuck

@XGViper2gamer lol your fucking retarded. on average in 2009 air traffic controllers get paid 100k+ in civillian airports and around 29k - 50k for millitary. not that bad... where as your bus boy drop out makes about 6 dollars an hour so 6*45 is about 270 a week. so 270*4 1080 and 1080* 12 = around 12thousand dollars a year... yea your wrong.

i'm an army atc and uhhhh.....it's a constant learning experience. There's also radar and tower which is two completely different kinds of ATC. I'm a radar guy. *wink*

@xxEddiexx1000 Really depends, it comes easier with repetition over time. However i would not say the job gets easier but the knowledge of the airspace, routes, sids, stars, fixes etc gets better. The job will never be easy because you never know what the situation will be or how much time you have to react.

Cool! Im gonna try to be a ATC too in the RAF, im in Air Cadets, which is like the mini RAF, n its well gud. To be a atc, you have to do officer training, which is tough. But if you want it, you will survive!

I would suggest looking at Officer training on youtube.
