@myth this yoga helps with thyroid problems and if you are underweight because of hyper thyroid it will help you. Om Vilom ( hope I spelled it right) helps with regulating weight according to baba Ramdev. I havnt tried it myself but search it and see. It is a breathing exercise too.

@myth1109 I haven't kept chart of my TSH for past 2 years I was taking about 200 mg of armourthyroid before I started doing this pranayam Now I take 120 mg armourthyroid. I am not sure which meds are you taking. It has improved my other symptoms such as swellig on the face and ankels and even neck. I hardly get any swelling now. Combine this with "kapalbhati that is what I do. I do not get cold, allergies as before. It has also improved my mood. All I can say is stick with it. it shows results

Ujjayi Prayam is really help full in Thyroid Problem I did this & now my THS level is normal. I never met with Baba Ramdev as m out of India but by this you tube video I learned this ....last month my THS level was 6.1 then strictly I did Kapalbhati, Ujjayi Prayam & I drastcaly changed my eating habit , I started to eat green vegetable, fruits & reduced oil from my food.... after one month I again went for blood test ... then my THS level was 2.4,completely normal. @1978skr HI....Yes I have lost weight after I started doing this....along with my facial swelling..it has gone away...it has been a year since I started doing this yoga...My main symptom were irritation, tiredness, swelling.....which have been reduced to 90%.l Believe me on this one....I have reduced my medicines into half. I am less forgetful now......I practice it for 5-10 minutes but should do it longer....try it..it will help you....

From what little I understand, (1) Inhale to your full capacity and note is that when you inhale there is a sound in the upper throat as air brushes the pipe. caution: one should never over do this. (2) After you inhale, bring the chin down and rest in on the chest. just like you are locking the air in a bottle. Hold to your capacity and (3) release slowly in the left nostril while holding the right nostril closed. Caution: one should never over do pranayam and be done in empty stomach generally
