almost forgot to say, I also used to roll the dumplings before the syrup was ready to boil, that way you can pop them in at a faster rate and they cook more evenly.

(you probably don't care anymore what with your comment being a year old! But just in case anyone else is wondering...) I believe it's Vegan cream. The lighter stuff like Alpro Soya Dream, I think.

This recipe looks like something my boyfriend might love, will have to try it =)
