Ya there is hella current there I went there with my dad and his homies and we caught some BIG ASS stripers and small catfish but there is still BIG catfish there the current is fast and the water is really really cold and in the spot I went to it had about a 20ft long rail on each side so people can fish and in the middle of the water it looks like a whirl pool the water make a lot of bubbles and the water moves so much u can hear the water a lot.
This is no joke. The California Aqueduct is not a place to take your kids. Take them to a small pond or lakes for that matter for fishing. I recently started fishing the aqueduct and i must say the current is fast and on some days the volume of water flowing is at full capacity. with this being said, if everyone is alert and not goofing around it can be a great place to fish.

why are there water level signs that say 325 326 etc what does that mean. Becuase my friends say that they saw when they were building the aquaduct and they say that the machines looked very small when they were building the canal i told my friend how deep u said it was and he is being hard headed about it he says that it cant be 30 to 24 feet deep he says it has to be deeper than that

According to the official California Aqueduct specifications the deepest part of the Duct is 32.8 feet and avg depth of 30 ft.

From what I have heard. Its deepest is 30 feet but the average is about 24 feet.
