  • Wow Great!!

  • Billy's solo, Ronnie's voice, Artimus' rythm, Garry's solo, Allen's style, Leon's backing vocals. oh fucking shit, I just can't stop saying perfect things in this comment. I consider myself a fucking lucky 90's kid for knowing great music.

  • The way the piano comes into this..... Nice nice

  • Love ya Billy! RIP. Makes my eyes well up watching you do what you do. Smilin' and cryin'. Thank You!

  • It doesn't get any better than this. Wow.

  • This is such a great video! Both Gary's and Billy's solo's are absolutely note4note to the studio version. love it

  • JJ Cale song This band makes it better What is so cool about them is that they did not rely on long phrase jams like the Allmans Get to the point and satisfy the audienc That bogus RnR hall of Fame Induction committee missed these guys Feat, Doobs, Los Lobos, Deep Purple, Spirit, TOP, PR &Raiders,William Clarke and so on. Instead smucks like Abba, Prince and Iggy Poop are in their little palace. Since bands like this are not in the front vote the freakin place has no accredited status.

You guys say the Allman briothers this and that its all different styles jerks. the Allmans were excellent and also great friends with Gary Allen Ronnie and later Steve so stop your bullshit and just thank god for what he gave us in the 70's.

  • @teddybundy118 its ppl like you that end up gone missing for comments like yours.......be careful boy

  • The bass that Leon Wilkeson is using in this video was supposedly given to him by John Entwistle of The Who.

  • Comment removed

  • r they usin peavey amps for the axes? damn

or is that just for bass

  • That was one hell of a rendition of that song! Yeowsa!

  • Look at Gary, and that Les Paul. Listen to it sing! Man, what TONE!!

  • @teddybundy118 Your an idiot. First off Ronnie was a hippie and a liberal man. He defently wasn't racist. Secondly Skynyrd is a great band, but the Allman Brothers were better because they are way better musicians than anyone in Skynyrd. Especailly Duane Allman. That guy was the greatest guitar player to ever live. Gregg Allman is one of the best blues singers EVER. I love Skynyrd as much as the next person, but as far as being pure musicians no one in SKynyrd can touch the Allman Bros.

  • @josh1988ist

Ronnie was no liberal. He was an American with mixed idea's, beliefs and morals. He toed no political line. Why do some morons have to put political labels on every damned thing?

  • @WheelSlip8 Well Ronnie supported Jimmy Carter and bashed Nixon. So i'll take that as he leaned a little more left. Not to mention he was a product of the 1960's generation which were all liberal hippies.

  • @josh1988ist

    So what.

Hell, I voted for President Carter and supported him until he showed his lack of leadership during the Iranian hostage crises. I voted for Regan, Clinton, Bush (Jr) and then Obama.

Don't fall into the ''political toe the line crap''. That's how tyrants come to power. Be your own person....above all, be an American.

As far as RVZ leaning left? Bullcrap! Ronnie leaned toward the next bass lake and the next shot of JD!

  • @WheelSlip8 Can't disagree with that.

  • @josh1988ist

Sorry if I sounded harsh. It's just that I get weary of the left blaming the right and the right blaming the left etc..

    Take care Josh.

  • @WheelSlip8 Well said wheel. Extreme left=Marxism. Extreme right=Fascism. Net difference=zero.

  • @TheArtbell

    Amen Brother!

  • Is it just me or does Gary Rossington kind of look like Kevin Bacon with a wig on?!

  • How could there only be 7,187 views and only 17 thumbs up here??

  • is it just me or does Ronnie always look a little... sad everytime they do live shows???

  • @TheGreenGopher I saw Skynyrd twice pre-77... Thats not how I remember Ronnie!

To me I think he was a serious musician, But he certainly knew how to have fun!....

From what I can remember anyway.

  • @comeinmykitchen hahaha ok good. i guess i was just envisioning what ive seen amongst fellow musicians. depression and loneliness can bring out the best in you but at the same time, break you down like nothing else. prime example: SRV. just saying lol

  • @TheGreenGopher You won't get any argument or disagreement from me in regards to your thoughts on fellow musicians.... I'm just telling you what I saw and experienced and remember... I was there after all. I lived through that period as an adult... And the two shows I saw the pre-77 Skynyrd do were phenomenal in my opinion.

  • @comeinmykitchen and honestly, i am unbelievably envious of you for that :D

  • @TheGreenGopher

Naw, that was just Ronnie's style of singing.

  • True rock!!!!! XD

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd Define Southern Rock......

  • @chrisc1011 ALLMAN BROTHERS

Thanks so much, realy enjoyed it

  • lmfao LYNARD SKYNYRD
