  • Some listeners send text message, or E-mail. Also direct phone call is possible.

And also: the good old po box is still alive.

  • how do you find out who is litenig to you?

  • amazing, would you be interested in any shows, to broadcast, I have my studio setup at home, currently doing RNI weekly, Regards

  • Hi John,

    Yep, still on air!

Mediumwave mostley between 1620-1660 khz, and shortwave 48 meter somewhere 6200-6400 khz. and only now and then at 19 meter band, 15070 khz.

  • Hi, are you still on the air ???

And what frequency do you TX on ?

    Bye from John

  • Nice! What's your range?

  • @SmashCOBamberg Range in freq. you mean? With different TX this is 1.400-30.000 mhz. I see you have a FM TX. I was never active on this bands, far to crowded on FM overhere. Hundreds of pirates, using 10 KW minimum. 1 of them has even 30 KW, with a mast of 104 meters, 8 dipole ant. is this 120 KW ERP! So, not easy to find a 'clear' freq. Better staying at MW/SW...

  • looks amazing !

  • hi,what frequency is this broadcast on?,,cheers..wayne.

  • that tranny is a beast

  • the antenna?

  • @sasso48 Antenna is a long wire for 180M MW. ¼ wave.

    For SW 48M a ¼ wave dipole

Mast is 31 meters of height.

I have a video on you tube from the mast too!

  • Nice tetrode @ 1:06 ! Reminds me of a pair of Mullard QB3-300's I used to have !!!! Cool Vid !!!!

  • power meter shows 400watts, so 800watts is not the output from the transmitter. It might be 800w ERP but thats still not the power of the rig....

  • @TheMisphit 800 watts is MAX. When i made this clip it was only 400. And 800 is only possible for a short qso. When longer, the tubes might be blow off...

  • Legal, gostei da Rádio. Uma pena estar tão longe e não poder escutar (Brazil).

    73

  • That is TOTALLY what it is all about. Fair play to you. Cool as f##k.

Thanks for letting us see it. You're a maniac!

  • the black old TX is freakin awesome, brings back that smell... Shit, man.

    Oh dear.

  • well done pal the radio stations in scotland r usally shit its nice tae get some real music

  • You want someone to do an acoustic session I would be delighted to, also have stuff on acousticrain1 so please check it out, cheers

  • Heard you down here in Somerset a few times. Thanks for the tour, and long live free radio!

  • lots of nice equipment you have there, thanks for uploading it.

  • Now that's a nice setup!

  • great post.nice too see so many people still interested in pirate radio.for more of the same check out my posts.various pirate radio films from manchester in the uk. type SNOWMANBUZZFM into the search bar to see all my videos!

  • Whoa, so you have an old Geloso, too...cool stuff ;)

  • heard this station many times in the west of england. Dutch Pirates tend to benefit from a more relaxed attitude from the authorities. Having said that raids on shortwave stations are fairly rare nowadays

  • check out rare groove radio on youtube

  • What is the song title playing? also.. lovely setup.. how is it that no police raids of such have accoured with so much output?

  • Hi,

The song: 'gimme shelter' (Rolling Stones.)

    But the Police/AT is active!

    Stations causing interference are raided..

In my neighberhood was a station who interfered the UK coastguard.

1 phonecall from UK to Dutch police and they raided this station within 30 min.!

FM pirates overhere using 10 KW transmitters.

Several were raided, got a fine up to € 37.500!!!

But only have to pay this if they started again from the same location.

So, most of them moved over to another location.

  • Pictures of the big FM pirates you will find by google on 'LS KLOMPENBOER'

  • Awesome, thanks for the information!

  • In US the cartel of million dollar broadcasters have the FCC kick ass. They even go after puny 10 watt FM stations.

I have tried FM bootleg with about 100 watts and it was fun. But risks are also high if you keep a regular schedule!

  • Thanks for posting. Was a US, MW pirate in 1960's, low power Navy TCS 20 W.

    All power to the transmitter!
