This is one of the only topics in college football that almost every fan wants to hear about. there has to be a play-off system. But even if there was a play-ff system, the people that run college football will figure out a way screw that up too.
In the end, Alabama's defense will take advantage of Texas's weak pass protection, Colt will not have time to even set up one good offensive series. This one will not be pretty.

Why is it that the smaller divisions in college football CAN have a playoff system and the majors cannot? Well, the bowl games are tied-in to corporate money...that's why. Advertisments and revenue. The 16 team tournament could work but big budget investors don't want to lose their "spot" at lining their pockets from their NAMES being on a bowl match-up.

I'd like to see a playoff system where the top 8 teams in the bcs rankings move into the playoffs or even a lower number of teams.
A lower number of teams would protect the power of the season, and the higher number would give more teams an even shot at playing for the big championship.

Why is it that the smaller divisions in college football CAN have a playoff system and the majors cannot? Well, the bowl games are tied-in to corporate money...that's why. Advertisments and revenue. The 16 team tournament could work but big budget investors don't want to lose their "spot" at lining their pockets from their NAMES being on a bowl match-up.

The BCS can go to hell for not bowing down to the Utes last season, and for spiting in TCU's face for giving them Boise State. "Check it out the only good team we played was Oregon & we's are undefeated sure we played Utah State & San Jose and we's awesome because we's undefeated" I can't wait to see TCU beat the holly hell out of the overrated Bronco's GO MWC!!

I'd like to see a playoff system where the top 8 teams in the bcs rankings move into the playoffs or even a lower number of teams.
A lower number of teams would protect the power of the season, and the higher number would give more teams an even shot at playing for the big championship.

Then the BCS puts down Boise and TCU because they can't get powerhouse teams to play them, the BCS doesn't even want them to play powerhouse teams, and putting them against each other is proof of such.

the system will never be perfect, but it can be better. they can keep there other precious bowls, but they should have an 8 team playoff and play the games at the BCS bowl sites, so they can still make the $. although there will be controversy over who makes the playoffs, it will be better. and the chances of a team being the best team in the country and but getting a chance to prove it is slim, bc it s hard to say your the best when your not in the top 8. (even though it is a possibilty)

If you guys beat us it wouldn't surprise me, but I just think we can take y'all! If Mark Ingram & Trent Richardson runs the ball well early on Texas, it's going to be a long day. Now receiver wise, we have Julio Jones which is always a threat to any team and as is Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks. And this Bama defense is relentless as you probably know, so we don't give up much, with the most was the 24 points we give up to Va Tech Hokies in our season opener in the Georgia Dome. May the best win
