Wow. That is an incredibly bad infestation. I am a bit surprised she is still alive. I took in some strays a few years ago with similar flea problems, and one required a blood transfusion and oxygen tent, she was so anemic.
I was actually given a kitten that had a lot of fleas (not as many, but still) and it made me so angry to think that her "owner" neglected her so much.
@jessica56786789 i am prety sure God made them (or in whatever being you worship lol) but i agree. WTH DOES THIS POOR BABY HAVE SUCH BIG AND DISGUSTING FLEAS CRAWLING OVER HER/HIS FACE?
How ANYONE could let a cat get to this point is beyond me. I've seen a lot of disturbing things in my life, A LOT. But this... This just sickens me. I am so glad that they posted an after video, or else I'd have been depressed for days.
Fleas piss me off. And to see the pain and suffering they cause like this makes me wish we could somehow develop something to completely rid the entire PLANET of these sons of bitches.
Thank you for the work you do. Please, everyone - if you want a pet, ADOPT! If you already have a dog or cat (or multiples), please SPAY or NEUTER. There are so many thousands upon thousands of unwanted, mistreated, loving animals just waiting... until their time runs out. The best place to start helping with pet overpopulation is at home, by having your pets fixed. :) Thanks for this video!
aww poor kitty we found a kitten under our house that was in the same condition and we had to bottle feed her and we kept her bc we all fell in love w/her!!
With small kittens, you should not use any insecticide chemicals, which flea collars contain. Until they are at least twelve weeks old, about all you can do is bathe them in Dawn dish detergent (which does kill the fleas but does not harm the kitten) and comb the fleas out. Once they are older, it is best to use a flea product like Frontline or Advantage instead of a flea collar.
Everytime I look at those fleas crawling on the little guys face I get goose bumps... Ugh... All those little demons crawling over the skin... Yech...
not to be a nerd regarding fleas, but if you have fleas on the animal, just bathing them wont get rid of the hleas. Or combing. You need to treat the house as an adult flea will lay about 50 eggs a day, which soon grow up into other fleas so you will have a constant problem. If you say you have got rid of em just by bathing and combing....good luck as its only a matter of time :) Hope kitten is ok now. Bet it appreciated the bath!
@Chris2o2 yeah i already took him there a couple of weeks ago and they ave him some stuff called revolution, its some pretty powerfull stuff, he was flea free in less than 24 hrs, thank you for your concern! :)
So small and helpless that even fleas were having a banquete with him. One of my cats was like that when he was found. Today he's a 10 year old cat, 9 kg (he's not obese, he's really big), had a cancer when he was 5 and survived. These guys are though but very noble and playfull, he just hates to travel. Thanks to people like you, I have a best friend since 2000 - in fact I have 3 of different ages.
Oh jesus, that cat needs some help. But more and more people are suffering from fleas, too .. not because of a lack of hygiene, but due to a wider spread of fleas caused by the general rise of overall temperatures :(
I used to have trouble with flea eggs on my rats and i used to comb canola oil threw there fur and then pick them off, if baby shampoo works that's awesome, make sure you groom there belly and legs
Just shampoo it with baby shampoo or Dawn dish detergent and comb out the fleas. It helps to get a flea comb or if you can't find one of those, a lice comb will do just as well.
@smitty54220 after what Dixie said make sure you get a flea treatment and flea collar to keep the fleas away. the treatments can be expensive, upwards of $70 but it is worth the money to keep your animal healthy and comfortable. I don't recommend the cheap flea treatments because you get what you pay for.
Fleas lay eggs in the animal's fur and they hatch from one to twelve days after the flea bath. You should bathe him again in a few days before the new fleas have time to lay eggs. This should get rid of all of them. Then bathe him once a month with flea shampoo to keep him from getting more.
@FunnyMoviee Flees don't live your animal. They live in carpets, rugs, in the corner where the wall meets. So you have to treat your house too. You can use frontline, or talk to your vet about Comfortis (a little pricy but well worth it!) you can also give him something called CAPSTAR (its a pill but only last 24 hours.)
My boyfriend and I rescued a neglected and abandoned cat a few months back. He was in such horrible shape. He's doing great now. Feel free to watch them. You can find them on my channel
