  • @miecio009 I'm not the owner of the car in this video, but I can tell you that it cost at least 10k.

  • @droang 10k for the car stock haha. I will bet theres close to 40k put into this car. Being an owner of a vr4 you get a feel for how much they put into the car by looking at whats under the hood

  • @chrisvr4life I wouldn't doubt it. I owned a 93 VR4 for a little over a year until it got totaled (sadly). To be honest with you, I never really got a grasp for how much things cost under the hood of the 3/S. I took a guess based off of a quote I got in the past for 15g turbos with supporting mods. (great turbos imo).

  • @droang thats ashame it got totaled :/ and im hoping to pick up 15g's soon, seem like great turbos for the price! But I've met multiple guys with 3000's that dropped 60k into their cars

  • i plan on upgrading to a tdo5 16g kit myself gettin everything from 3sx but is that all you needed just the turbo kit exhaust, 680cc fuel injectors, and the fuel pump?... well i see the other stuff but damn dats a pretty small list.

  • Believe me you need alot more to do a TD05 16G upgrade. If you going to do it right that is. This video the car is usen the MAF still and a Neo fuel controller, Not the best way to go.

  • alright so far (through 3sx) i plan on gettin

    TD05 full turbo kit,

    tanabe exhaust,

    upgrade the MAF to the 3.5 GM MAF with duel filters,

    under hood fuel system,

    650cc fuel injecters,

    and i think im also gettin the wideband kit, what else would i need. im shooting for 500-550 hp.

  • well in all honesty dyno numbers arent the best thing to go by. With that said I dont think you will be able to hit 550 with that setup. What octane do you plan on using? You dont need the MAF with the duel filters if you have an EMS, regardless you still need some type of fuel/boost controller.

  • FMIC with All the plumbing, Down pipe with high flow cat or no cat, MSD 8.5 wires with Denzo Iridium plugs, AEM EMS with Y-band metter, Boost controller, Aquamist system or alky kit.

    And good tuner not a joker who will blow your car up. Should hit 500 AWHP on safe Boost & pump gas.

    After that big money comes in for each HP & Torque.

  • in new mexico you get lucky if you SEE a vr4. besides mine i think ive seen 3... maybe 4. so the chances of findin a tuner dat wont blow ma car up is slim to none. but im a right dat list down. o and what about side mount intercoolers?

  • All the pulls were done in second gear. Giving the car a mechanical advantage. The car did make 500 horsepower, you did the runs in second gear. Your suppose to do the runs in a gear closest to 1:1 ratio. Your second gear is said to be at 1.90:1 ratio from Mitsubishi and your fourth gear is said to be at 0.92:1 ratio. You guys should really post the true SAE and proper dyno run numbers in 4th gear to make your claim to 500 awhp on pump a credible account.

  • you are correct. They are kinda cheating if the car isn't in a 1:1 ratio meaning the there is not a mechanical advantage. Depending on what year, if a 5 spd, needs to be done in 3rd gear. If a 6spd, 4th gear.
