  • I really do love these videos :) Q is such a doll!

What crate size do you recommend for a border collie??

  • That is an adorable puppy!

  • I feel all sleepy now I've watched this! What a lovely sleepy pup!

  • I am going to try this on my 7 month old coon hound puppy. Thanks for showing how to do this.

  • @blcain2005 thanks for your lovely comment, I hope it works!

  • This is great! Do you know of Nan Arthur's exercise Relax on a Mat in her book Chill Out Fido? It's sort of the same idea.

  • @thistlemiss I have not yet read Chill Out Fido but have read Control Unleashed. I'm kind of intrigued by calming signals, so I thought I'd see how they worked with this application. I was actually surprised it worked so well.

By the way, your tutorials are wonderful, thank you for making them.

  • @tehrenberg CU is wonderful. Kind of a Bible for me and my girls. I've sent your videos to all my puppy clients as inspiration for what is possible. Thank you for the compliment too!

  • Interesting how he responded to lip licking with his own lip licking. I guess it's contagious in dogs just like yawning! Nice technique! Much better than the 'old' method of bashing the crate to 'calm' the dog down! (Kind of like telling your child to quit crying or I'll give you something to cry about!' ) LOL!

  • @supernaturalbc2009 haha, thank you. . . I AGREE! That's what's called 'squirrely logic'.

  • Great lesson! Your puppy is so cute, makes me want to get another one of my own!

  • @tab289 It would be fun to see Solea romping with a sibling!

  • Great job, I need you to come over and settle my dogs down! That is a beautiful puppy!

  • @texshan74 haha, I'm sure you have things under control. Your fans need to see that new puppy of yours!

  • Great technique, very useful)))

  • Adorable puppy!!!

  • oh my gosh, he's adorable.

  • Awesome tutorial! I liked how it was real time, watching a puppy go from crazy to being relaxed and calm!

Q was too cute overstimulated and settling!!!

BravooO!!! Loved your calming signals at the end. ;) Excuse me but Im off to take a nap now..

  • @kikopup thank you Em. . . yes, it was mighty sweet of him to give me exactly what I was looking for in a short amount of time. . . he is a very thoughtful, considerate boy. In addition to being cute as a button ; )

  • Gorgeous little pup. I've only recently read about calming signals and hadn't considered this application - thanks :o)

  • OMG, Tracy, he is a doll! What a smart boy. I love how cute he is when he figures out that being down is a good thing and gets rewarded. I also loved the lip licking and then his eyes are so soft and heavy. SWEET!!! Loved it! Nice job Q & Tracy!

  • @pamelamarxsen thank you Pam for your very sweet comment! I agree, I love watching his brain working it all out, and more often than not, it's better if I just stay quiet. He's such a fun little guy.

  • i am beyond words, that little ball of cutness is so awesome :)

  • Great video!

  • What a lovely way to calm your pup.

  • He is way too adorable!! I can't wait to see how gorgeous he is when he is full grown =) Him and Mi are the cutest Border Collies ever!! They have the most unique colours :)

  • @Court22132 thank you for such a lovely comment!

  • @tehrenberg your welcome =) much deserved!!

  • So helpful! And so adorable!

  • I am just about fainting from cuteness overload.

  • @AnimalLoverLizzy Seconded... wow. Adorable!

  • @AnimalLoverLizzy hehe, puppies are cute even (or especially?) when they're crazy!
