These look and sound like wood ducks -- most likely one adult female and one adult male... when the males are in their non-breeding states they drop their fancy, rainbow-colored plumage and take on the plumage of the female for a couple of months. I see them around here and in the summer they all look alike. The squeaking is their "alarm call".

@sassycat789, to be correct, The male wood duck has red eyes, the tip of the bill rolls down and comes to a point. That is not the sound of a male or female wood duck. And it is not an "alarm call" when wood ducks squeal. The squeal is a drakes call used to locate and signal other wood ducks. get your facts straight before you make yourself sound dumb...and BTW these are New Zealand Scoup AKA "Black Teal". Read the descrition, she is in new zealand, American wood ducks are not in new zealand.
