@AccioPlaylist Okay, so I am used to the Rufus Wainwright version, which is "holy dark", but the original Leonard Cohen and others says "holy dove", but I think it's still about sex. Like sex is a kind of spiritual experience in that verse. The other verses reference bible prophets, but fallen bible prophets. Like the whole Bathasheba bathing on the roof thing, yes? It is SUCH a beautiful song though, agreed! And I really like her version!
