This song meant a lot to me when it came out... I was in Australia for a few months, I thought they were a local band and I'd never hear it again, then found it on youtube just now... thrilled
saw the church at the i-beam on haight st. (long closed) in 1987 or so. steve kilby was stoned on something. he spent the show staring at himself on the tv monitor. i guess if i looked like that i might do the same. anyway...great gig. them was the days.
This is their best song by a mile. I remember when they broke and washed away a decade of mind numbing disco drivel. Listen also to 'Electric Lash' - 'Antenna' & 'Under the Milky Way' Friggen 'ell they're good.
I´ve heard this song for the first time twenty years ago and I was shocked. The time has passed but still I think it´s one of the best songs I´ve ever heard, and I often use to play it. Unafortunately this band wasn´t very known in my country, Spain.
really good, Thanks for putting it up, oh and keep it up lol because the people love it and no one else has it lol, but truely the band is one of the greats because so many other bands today can't even touch them.
Hey I love their videos! I'm glad they weren't afraid to try stuff like they did. Thanks guys, I always looked forward to a new Church video. P.S. I understand that you're not knocking the band so....etc
Kilbey is a genius and I love the early Church more than any other band ever, but boy have they made some crap videos :-) But its still glorious to see all this stuff here, I was a fan since '83 and I'd never seen any vids, please keep them coming.
I too have loved The Church since '83, but had never seen any of the vids except Reptile and Under the Milky Way...yup, they're crap videos but it's so great to see them at all!
