  • This vid is clearly the statement of someone who's long since disappeared up his own asshole, but I readily concede that his heart is in the right place. Legendary little guitar.

  • @Zebonka Right on brother! Someday I'm just going to set up the camera in the corner of the room and play some shitty 60's style blues like all the other baby boomer wannabe's, until then let the colonospic journey continue!

  • @vodstrup Sorry, I think I meant colonoscopic. I love all the comments from the guitar wankers out there looking for Rickenbacker porn. Please keep it coming - no pun intended.

  • As one decently paid gigging musician to another, I'm not sure where your attitude comes from. I'm just saying, as someone who creates stuff on the odd occasion, I can't help but feel that maybe there's better ways to react when you have a Miss as opposed to a Hit. It happens sometimes, there's no reason to be a bitch about it.

  • @Zebonka Saying that I've "disappeared up my own asshole" is probably where my "attitude" comes from. This wasn't intended to be a pop culture piece, something you just don't understand - your ignorance precedes you. I have every right to defend myself against pricks like you. I enjoy it.

  • Very creative and original video and sound. But what do I know, I'm just a semi-retired ex fulltime pro musician, who also worked in a TV station for 16 years... I'm sure all these bedroom and garage jammers know better than I. :p

  • I absolutely LOVE this! What artistry! I can certainly understand why most don't seem to 'get it.' Of course, most people don't 'get' John Cage or Philip Glass, either. And there's also the apparent fact that everyone feels the need to be a critic. I'll be looking for more of your work. Please keep it up!!!

  • have yoou changes the tuners?

  • @viceisthename No I don't think so. It's not my guitar, but I do think it is all original.

  • I saw a lot more shitty video editing than ANY "Licks" played on any "Ricks."

Not trying to bring ya down...but you should change the video title to "VideoRickenbackerPictureEditsWithSomewhatEpilepticSoftFocusGuitarStrummingBits"

  • @Whicol2 - Didn't bring me down at all. You're right, I should make videos that look like all the other guitar videos available on youtube.

  • are you selling? if tyes please tell me

  • Love the guitar--trying to embrace the video. It reminds me of a nightmare I had after eating too much Thai food.

  • how much does you pay for this guitar i usd please

  • @beatlekid1941 Definitely not for sale.

  • Looks kinda cool. . . doesn't sound cool at all. . . boring. Sorry.

  • i thought it was pretty abstract, i thought it was gonna be like a history of riki licks but this was petty cool, ll of you out there that say that the beatles would hate this, do you know the beatles, do you personaly know the beatles intimatly and know whats going on inside there brains, no..... then shut up.

  • arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!! WHY are you playing it like a blooody epileptic?!?!?! bluddy americans!!!

  • Because Brits give us seizures!

  • @LDD86 "bluddy americans"? Two words for you: Jimi Hendrix.

  • i think its great its kinda like a close on the beatles like some kinda time bubble lsd trip memory its quite good what program did you use to make it in

  • @warchild1976 I edited this in After Effects about 7-8 years ago... 2005(?)

  • @vodstrup Oh, I forgot, I also used a program called Jitter made by Cycling74 - I was just learning the software at the time and I didn't capture the imagery quite right hence some effects aren't as smooth as it looked in real-time.

  • Awesome Video! Rickenbacker guitars are the best

  • Give me your guitar..

  • @wisesatyr72 I'm sure you'd rock it appropriately. Let me assure the skeptics, that this guitar is well cared for and quite often used to play the classic rock style that made it famous. This video and music was just a fun yet serious experiment.

  • I'm sorry, but this is not experimental or psychedelic, just noise. The Beatles would hate this, it's against everything they stood for: concise, melodic pop songs.

  • The Beatles made many albums with a wide range of noise throughout their career. I doubt their "All You Need Is Love" stance jives with the "hate" you mentioned. All sounds are too wonderful of an experience to be confined, I'm sure the Beatles would agree with me on this. BTW I watched your videos and that's some beautiful noise you are making - all the best.

  • I didn't really mean hate, more like I'm not sure if they would dig it. It's just not very melodic, and the smashy chord noises don't really float my boat. No hard feelings though.

  • Yeah, Paul probably doesn't have RickLicks on his iPod, but I do think John would respect and be honored by the sentiment, granted it's not as melodic as Yoko, but still...

  • faggy.

  • raro

  • Boring

  • great work!!!

  • I liked it!

  • we just wanna see the whole guitar!!!!!

  • Nice work combining George's 360/12 into the piece from "Hard Day's Night." A classic album.

  • Outstanding piece that works both musically and visually, perfectly paired. Very innovative approach for both. And a worthy subject.
