i don't know if you're a musician or not, but if you are a musician, you have to listen to any song's lyrics and melody very carefully, and then, you'll probably find something interesting.

i've never heard any song which doesn't contain ANYTHING interesting at all.

all you need is to listen.

For all those dissing pop songs, at least their fans are mostly free of the pointless pretension that only-rock-foreverz music elitists have. Know what? I love this song, love rock n' roll AND Britney Spears. I'm a living oxymoron! Or maybe, it IS possible that liking music isn't an either/or, and whatever genre you're into more than another does not define your intelligence, or you as a person. @ohthesovietkitsch I get your point. But i still firmly believe that rock is a genre of music that had far more soul than others. It never made instant hit's that lasted for a year or two. Take Stairway to heaven (1971) or Sympathy for the Devil (1968) into account. Those were good songs then, and they are good now. Pop has a different situation. Britney Spears was "in" back in 2005. Nobody listens to Britney anymore. It's Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber now. And it will be someone else later.
