I like the Supra's because of the engine design with the I-6, but I enjoy the RX7 better because of the non-existent redline. My RX7 I left NA, but did a race-porting, and better APEX seals along with new rotors, NA with that = 244HP (from 160), straight piped dump added about 40 more horses, the exhaust is super restrictive on rx7s

i have a 1985 rx7 gs with a 12a and i have 305,000 miles on it, but i know how to take care of it. 2 stroke oil in the gas before a fill up and i use conventional oil. so if your rotory is going bad at 100k then you know nothing at how to take care of them. i also have a 1987 rx7 se with a 20 b swap and i get 680hp out of it. lightweight rotors peri port and a big ass greddy t-88. they can go but engine life is short for a peri 10k miles not unreliable just a race engine.

The supra is my favortie car ever built and i prefer Toyotas, but i have nothing but respect for mazda and the RX7 and even the newer RX8. the RX7 truly is one of the purest sports cars to emerge from japan and even though they are over a decade old and they are no longer in production, they perform better than the majority of todays cars and their styling is still unmatched.

and props to the RX7 driver for not ricing out his car. the supra looks HIDEOUS with those body mods.

no one appreciates how a rotary (rx7) gets their power, on paper a rotary engine would be the go for every car maker simply because there is only a couple of moving parts (when i say a couple theres only approx 3 moving parts compared to a piston engine which has dozens upon dozens. the sheer size of a rotary engine is much smaller than a normal piston engine but produces a lot more horsepower per stroke. and everyone says a rotary engine is unreliable that is untrue
